Columbia vs Valdosta Home and Home

Also hoping to find out if first game in Lake City or Valdosta

Good game if true... always thought that Columbia should play both the Valdosta schools (one home, one away) just like Buchholz (until this year) and Gainesville.

Ideally, I would think Columbia would want a schedule like:

1. Gainesville (District or non-district)
2. Buchholz
3. Valdosta
4. Lowndes
5. Madison County
6. Trinity Christian
7. Bolles
8. District/Suwannee
9. District
10. District

Mostly for the gates, reduced travel time, and a decent level of competition. A schedule like the above would be pretty tough overall depending on the district games (probably tougher than this year's schedule).

Well buchholz, Bolles and Suwannee were too scared to play so we had to look elsewhere

Decent, had a solid QB who going to USF and I think they beat Colquitt in a shootout this year

Spoke to the coach at Valdosta. He is looking for a home and home with one more FL team around the Jax or Tally area. He hinted he doesn’t want a powerhouse but I told him that’s a trick response because there are no powerhouses In either area. 

Lincoln is the best from Tally and Bolles/Raines is the best from Jax. 

Maybe TC and Mandarin. 

All those teams would get run out of the stadium by Valdosta

I emailed a few teams that I thought might put up a fight. 

Mandarin, St Augustine and Flagler Palm Coast. Haven’t heard back yet

Mandarin would be a bad idea 

 

Without Beck they will drop a bit

 

 

Of the ones listed Flagler Palm Coast, Raines, St Augustine or TCA would be best bets

Any luck finding out if Lowndes would play columbia

 

I heard we planned to reach out to them as well (they may have but can't confirm)
