Still doubting I see

I'm not doubting the kid is talented

I'm doubting that you fully realize how deep Lowndes is and that a freshman with average size and average 40 won't start at RB for them and even a year may not be enough time unless all the stud RBs I remember them having graduate after this year

Jesse, just curious:  did the family move to Valdosta?  Or is the kid going to make an hour long (each way) commute every day?

My guess is probably lives somewhere close to halfway point of both schools, schools out here are so spread out and ik I've seen players who would have been zoned for somewhere like live oak attend Columbia or Madison but in this case likely commuting to GA since they more likely to have a season than FL will

I remember in 2009 to around 2014, that message board was really going strong. The South Florida posters leaving the board really had an effect. I wonder whatever happened to OU112?

He was on this board under a different name for a while

On a side note I've never seen a 5'7 165 lb RB that ran a 4.6 40 that was good in high school.

I'm not saying this kid won't be good I'm just saying if that is his height, weight and speed he will struggle vs good teams

I was thinking the same thing LOL.  But he said he was a Freshman so maybe he hits his growth spurt in a year or 2 and he is... 6.0 190lbs or something... Hopefully he trains hard and gets that 4.6 down to a 4.4 or 4.5 and I am guessing he has quick feet and good vision... I never seen the kid I a just guessing coming from a Madison fan who has seen a great number of really good RBs they are really seeing something special in the kid and not just being a homer.

Remember some years back when a guy came on FLV saying "He had a kid who was going to be better than Noel Devine"  Then he posted the film and we were all like... Meh... He is okay but flat footed and not that fast he aint nothing like Noel Devine... I wonder what happened to that kid LOL.

Its bs  he left madison county for them. Again F schools like st thomas,  Lowndes,  private schools,  img, and others who recruit. But i told yall he was elite. Madison county still loaded, its just bull sh$$t .

The kid is pretty good from the film I saw but will not play much as a freshman at Lowndes.  He probably would have been decent at Madison as a freshman and played a lot more.

True but can't break a FL record if he not playing in FL

So, if one guy bet the kid would break the FL record and one guy bet the kid would not, wouldn't the guy who bet the kid would not break the record be right?    :P

Just curious, if the kid had stayed at Madison, had a terrific year, but got hurt in the semi-finals and wasn't able to play in the championship game, would the bet have been voided?   :o

No it's voided now because he left prior to the season starting

he can't that's why he lost the bet.  explain how you make a bet that he will and then not pay when he doesn't

You telling me someone as competitive as you would actually accept a win by default? Smh I know I wouldn't accept a win like that

That would be like saying I'm making a bet that Miami Central wins 6a and then they withdraw from the FHSAA before the season can even begin, any bet that has become impossible before a single game has been played is void in my opinion and since this site was used as the source of the bet I have the ability to void it, see I'm sure if you read the terms and service agreement it would say in there that "gambling transactions" aren't allowed to be facilitated on the website and I believe sports betting hasn't fully been passed in the state of Florida as well

you can't void shit.  If the little trash boy Jessee wants to back out of a bet then that's on him.  You have nothing to do with this.

and a $100 is $100 I'll take it any way I can get it even if it's by default.

Badbird have you ever actually seen a money bet go through on here?

And yeah I can stop any mention of the bet on the site because it goes against the site's terms of service

If you intend to pursue the bet you will have to find a different way to carry it out lol

    • I was actually itching to treat some wager some money on some sports matches that are happening above-board now. I wanted to let you guys identify that I did spot what I ruminate on to be the kindest site in the USA. If you fall short of to get in on the spirit, check it out-moded: https://pokeronline.guru/online-gambling/
    • Perhaps the best RB in Tampa Bay iin 2023 saw his program close, and is looking for a home. If he stays in the area,Venice is a good bet. (Lakeland may be as well).
    • And if that same newsletter asked the Osceola County Sheriff Department, what do you think the response would be? If you asked, members of the Chamber of Commerce? (Essentially a union of businesses) If you asked a group of nurses? If you asked a group of lawyers? Also a union cares about the working conditions of their members, but the working conditions of teachers are the learning conditions of students as well. People are attracted to careers because of the values that come with those careers. Political Parties attract people based on their values. So it shouldn't be surprising that certain professions attract certain people in certain careers. You act as if the principal's first question when we have a 5,000+ teachers shortage in this state is "who do you vote for? And are you a member of the union?"
    • I feel like y'all are always solid so I don't see y'all going no worse than 7-3. Biggest question mark for Cocoa is their O-line since they are only returning 1 and on the defensive side they only return their blue chip edge in their front 7
    • Coach Wiseman, let me just preface this by saying that you were the best HC Sarasota's program has had in the last 20+ years. You brought them from being a perpetual losing program to the doorstep of competing with Venice for a district title and a deep playoff run. SHS will curse the day they fired you now that they are back in a rut. You are a true class act, and nothing will ever convince me otherwise.  Our backfield is certainly sparse right now. We do have Dorian Jones, a rising sophomore runningback whom did considerably well considering his limited playing time last season. Our offense will need an overhaul with the graduation of 3 offensive linemen and almost our entire receiving corps. Our defensive line will be strong with the return of Ke'shawn Vaughn, Elijah Jones, and Asharri Charles. Our linebacking corps graduates virtually everybody but should have at least one bright spot with the return of Ben Zarkawiecz. Our defensive backfield is still a work in progress with the graduation of Lester and Platt. At the moment, we have more question marks than exclamation points. And that's not a good feeling with the kind of competition Venice is going to face.
