Lakeland Playoff Trivia #2 - St Thomas Aquinas

With only about 40 seconds left, Lakeland scored the go-ahead TD against their opponent and all but had the game sealed.  But their opponent shocked the Naughts by marching down the field on 5 straight passing plays and tied the game in the closing seconds, sending the game into OT.  An unsportsmanlike penalty on the tying extra point cost the Naughts dearly and they ultimately lost the game.  The Naughts had come into this game having won over 25 straight games.

Who was the team who beat them that memorable night?

That's it!  This game was played in Lakeland.  The Naughts had over 130 yards in penalties and fumbled the ball in OT, allowing the Raiders to kick a field goal and win 25-22.  This snapped a 27-game winning streak by the Naughts, who were the defending 5A champions.  The Raiders went on to win the 5A title that year.

And I'm guessing the crew that ref'ed that game hasn't been back to Bryant Stadium since then.  B)
