It might matter if they consistently beat legit state title contenders in bigger classes.  0-2 against Columbia last 2 years, and one loss was a blowout.   The post was more about tenure than titles, but guess you didn't catch that.  Why don't you make a Madison County post and debate yourself?

Just curious,  but what do you think that the average current tenure at their current school for a coach is? 3 years?

This data is a couple of years old...representative, at least of south FL

Broward and Palm Beach Counties Data Combined

·       81%(55/68) of all head coaches in Broward and Palm Beach Counties have been at their present school 3 seasons or less.

·       46%(31/68) of all head coaches in Broward and Palm Beach Counties have been at their present school 1 season or less.

·       28%(19/68) of all head coaches in Broward and Palm Beach Counties this season are new.

Broward County

·       84%(31/37) of all head coaches in Broward County have been at their present school 3 seasons or less.

·       41%(15/37) of all head coaches in Broward County have been at their present school 1 season or less.

·       24% (9/37) of all head coaches in Broward County are new.

Palm Beach County

·       77%(24/31) of all head coaches in Palm Beach County have been at their present school 3 seasons or less.

·       52%(16/31) of all head coaches in Palm Beach County have been their present school 1 season or less.

...once again, this data is a couple of years old.

Approximately half of all public school head coaches at teams in Classes 1A-8A can be found in one of the 10 counties below.  Below are the number of new public school coaches this season in each of these counties and the percentage of annual turnover that represents.

Of 210 head coaching slots at public schools in these 10 counties, 61 are now filled by new coaches.  That represents 29%. One has to wonder if it will become increasingly difficult in the future to find programs with coaches in place more than a few years.  We hear a lot about the "gig economy" in the Corporate world.  Is that the new reality for hs coaching as well?

Brevard-7 new coaches (14 public schools) 50%

Lee-6 new coaches (15 public schools) 40%

Palm Beach-8 new coaches (22 public schools) 36%

Broward-9 new coaches (29 public schools) 31%

Duval-5 new coaches (16 public schools) 31%

Hillsborough-8 new coaches (27 public schools) 30%

Polk-4 new coaches (15 public schools) 27%

Orange-5 new coaches (20 public schools) 25%

Miami-Dade-7 new coaches (35 public schools) 20%

Pinellas-2 new coaches (17 public schools) 12%

    • It would weed out the bad teams that are not championship material. The cream would rise to the top. So once the the teams ranked in the 400’s and 500’s were gone after the first round like they should be, it would start to get to the point only good teams are left. The last couple rounds would be the best of the best. One true state champion.    Watering down the classes and letting teams who normally would have no business winning a title advance further than they should is like letting a toddler hold a fake steering wheel and pretend he’s driving. It’s not real. And it doesn’t prepare the kids for real life. It makes them think they are better than they really are.
    • Buy Azithromycin Online is a handy antibiotic you can buy online to treat specific bacterial infections. It’s great for things like respiratory infections (think coughs and sore throats), skin infections, ear infections, and even some sexually transmitted infections like chlamydia. One cool thing about it is that you usually only need to take it for a short time, usually around five days. Just remember, it’s super important to take the full course even if you start feeling better before it’s done. This helps make sure the infection is completely gone and doesn’t come back stronger. Like with any medication, there can be side effects, like upset stomach or diarrhea, so it’s always good to talk to your doctor or pharmacist first, especially if you have any health conditions or are taking other meds. Overall, Azithromycin can be an effective and convenient option for treating bacterial infections when used correctly.
    • Okay, how about that STA vs. Ida Baker matchup in your first round?  Does your analogy extend to South Florida slappies?  My opinion is simply that no one (except CoachGraham, apparently) would be interested in the 1 vs. 512, 2 vs. 511, and 200 other mismatches such a format would produce, regardless of geography.  But I could be wrong.  And now I'm thinking I should have skipped college.
