Who Is This Famous Central Coach? George Clayton/Lake Brantley

This famous central FL coach spent 19 years as a hc at a certain Central FL HS.  He won over 150 games, including 3 undefeated regular seasons.  All but a few of his teams finished their season with less than 7 wins.  His teams made 15 playoff appearances.  Although most of his teams did not advance far in the playoffs, he did make it to a state final one year.  He stepped down from his coaching position at that school earlier this decade.  Prior to coming to Florida, he coached in 3 different states.

I like your guess, but no.  Sherman was there for over 30 seasons.

I think that's correct. The only thing that could nullify it is the three other states part. I was not aware he had traveled that much.

Got it!  George Clayton was hc at Lake Brantley from 1997-2015.  His 2006 team played in the 6A final, where they lost to Northwestern.  He also coached in Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
