Great news! I saw TCPalm put out their revised schedule (not including the game you just mentioned)

9/18: Port St Lucie

9/25: Centennial

10/2: Martin County

10/9: Treasure Coast

10/16: Fort Pierce Westwood

10/23: Fort Pierce Central

The  TCPalm new schedule for Vero sucks as we only have a six game season with 3 bye's. We start late Sept18 and end early Oct 23. All local games,no traveling, but no one know's the home team.

Using what’s been released by the teams themselves and the fact that 3 of the games are traditional district foes with home/home schedules I would expect the following home games: PSL, Treasure Coast, Central and possibly Martin County and Westwood. As of right now Venice, Centennial are away.

Looks like Venice is hurting for games. Seen a tweet from coach Peacock that they are looking for games on 9/11, 9/18, 10/9 and 10/23. Wow

I think Columbia has that last date open unless they replaced Middleburg without anyone knowing

Maybe @VeniceIndiansFootball you could try seeing if they can call Columbia

I can't promise anything but if anything maybe it would clarify what openings Columbia has even if Columbia and Venice can't work something out

Though it could be tougher because of travel restrictions so who knows

The last time I was in contact with Coach Peacock I gave him Columbia’s Athletic Director Email and the schools phone number. We discussed only week 1 because I saw that Columbia had it open. Unless you guys would be willing to come to Powell Davis, Its a waste of time because Peacock is specifically looking for home games. I could try again but you guys have to come to us.

Idk what Columbia travel requirements/restrictions are atm so maybe best to not waste peacock time and instead try some other time (maybe next season) where Columbia could be more flexible

Especially when I don't even know for sure what openings we have

So far I only know what games we have because I reached out to our opponents or contacts within those programs

I have currently

9/25  @ TCA

10/2  vs Gainesville

10/16  vs Jacksonville Lee

And ik we have Madison County scheduled but I haven't been able to find out the date since I don't know how to contact Madison and find out

Well we have weeks 1 and 2 full. Those seem to be empty for Columbia, but I could Be wrong, although it wouldn’t matter regardless. Unfortunately, Coach Peacock is looking specifically for home games, and I’ve given him Columbia’s contact information. It’s out of my control now. If Venice and Columbia do manage to work out a deal, Columbia would have to travel, which is tough considering travel restrictions and the pandemic. We do have 10/23 open at the moment though.

9/25 is our county first game date so that is columbia week 1

It probably would be tough to happen this year but hopefully once reclassification is done I'll try and find out what openings we have for next year and I'll keep you in loop on any openings I find out in the future so hopefully we can make something happen

    • I was actually itching to treat some wager some money on some sports matches that are happening above-board now. I wanted to let you guys identify that I did spot what I ruminate on to be the kindest site in the USA. If you fall short of to get in on the spirit, check it out-moded: https://pokeronline.guru/online-gambling/
    • Perhaps the best RB in Tampa Bay iin 2023 saw his program close, and is looking for a home. If he stays in the area,Venice is a good bet. (Lakeland may be as well).
    • And if that same newsletter asked the Osceola County Sheriff Department, what do you think the response would be? If you asked, members of the Chamber of Commerce? (Essentially a union of businesses) If you asked a group of nurses? If you asked a group of lawyers? Also a union cares about the working conditions of their members, but the working conditions of teachers are the learning conditions of students as well. People are attracted to careers because of the values that come with those careers. Political Parties attract people based on their values. So it shouldn't be surprising that certain professions attract certain people in certain careers. You act as if the principal's first question when we have a 5,000+ teachers shortage in this state is "who do you vote for? And are you a member of the union?"
    • I feel like y'all are always solid so I don't see y'all going no worse than 7-3. Biggest question mark for Cocoa is their O-line since they are only returning 1 and on the defensive side they only return their blue chip edge in their front 7
    • Coach Wiseman, let me just preface this by saying that you were the best HC Sarasota's program has had in the last 20+ years. You brought them from being a perpetual losing program to the doorstep of competing with Venice for a district title and a deep playoff run. SHS will curse the day they fired you now that they are back in a rut. You are a true class act, and nothing will ever convince me otherwise.  Our backfield is certainly sparse right now. We do have Dorian Jones, a rising sophomore runningback whom did considerably well considering his limited playing time last season. Our offense will need an overhaul with the graduation of 3 offensive linemen and almost our entire receiving corps. Our defensive line will be strong with the return of Ke'shawn Vaughn, Elijah Jones, and Asharri Charles. Our linebacking corps graduates virtually everybody but should have at least one bright spot with the return of Ben Zarkawiecz. Our defensive backfield is still a work in progress with the graduation of Lester and Platt. At the moment, we have more question marks than exclamation points. And that's not a good feeling with the kind of competition Venice is going to face.
