A developing story is taking place in broward county as two students have sent out a viral memo that they are going to shoot up dillard high school Monday morning.

their exact words were “anybody we see in the hallways getting shot, we’re shooting 7 teachers & every last security guard and 20 students”

npw this very well could be a sick joke for clout or they could be dead serious , being that they sent this out from untraceable dummy accounts to hide Their identity, but in a post that has went viral Parents of Dillard high isn’t taking any chances ; with hundreds of them taking to social media stating their child would not be there on Monday morning.

3 years removed from the massacre at Douglas and 13 years removed from the shooting death of Amanda collete at Dillard high back in 2009 , it’s just no room for this man and as a Dillard Alum & proud advocate for my school I’m extremely disgusted.

This is just sick and not even a good joke to make. Hope these kids get their comeuppance and realize that threats such as these are not to Be taken lightly. I say arrest both of them and hold them in jail until the truth is brought to light. And yes I know what their constitutional rights are, but public safety is vital and cannot be taken away at the hands of some jackasses making sick threats. This is just despicable.

As soon as I seen the post my stomach turned, when Amanda was shot in killed at Dillard back in 2009 I was in 9th grade ; Where she was shot and killed I was in that same spot just 5 min prior , and it’s something I would never forget. So to even joke about something like this it just hits TO CLOSE to home.

What happened to the days of people calling in fake bomb threats to get out of a test or to leave school early. This is just sad and twisted. Hope they find the ones responsible for the post.

Lyman High in the Orlando area just had a similar threat posted on social media over the weekend.

Liberty High School experienced a lockdown on Sept. 16 with supposed armed student later to discover no weapon.  Sad, but sign of our times.  When I attended Osceola in the mid 60's students showed up with rifles in racks in their pickups every day and nothing ever happened; just part of the culture and no one felt threatened.  Today?? Well, I'll just leave it at that.

Yeah, times have changes.  A guy a knew at Lakeland that showed up with a rifle in his rack as well.  He was promptly arrested and expelled from Polk County in '93.  He ended up at Plant City.

Unfortunately, the country seems to have some serious issues that are not being addressed.

A teen has been arrested for making a threat at Miramar HS.

Stranahan High and William Dandy Middle School were also threatened over the weekend.

The investigations continue and additional arrests appear to be forthcoming.

From the article:  "The 15-year-old student, whose brother had attended Miramar High but who attends another school, later told police she made the threat as a joke, the report said."

Somebody is about to learn a cruel and/or expensive lesson about what's a joke and what's not.  Some things just aren't funny.

Wow - this situation is only getting crazier.

An individual -- seemingly another one but perhaps not -- has been arrested for doing the same to Coral Glades HS: https://coralspringstalk.com/student-arrested-school-shooting-threats-35365

Every single last one of these kids needs to be held accountable for their actions until this type of “prank” is made completely unthinkable, and quite frankly inconceivable . Make an example out of them and force them to sit in jail until the truth is brought to light and they understand that this is seriously dangerous territory. There is no excuse for such violent rhetoric and scare tactics in the year 2021 when we are living in a society that brands itself as accepting and acknowledging of other’s desires. Make them learn the hard way. My father always used to tell me “son, no lesson ever worth learning is discovered easily.” These kids could use some tough love.

    • I was actually itching to treat some wager some money on some sports matches that are happening above-board now. I wanted to let you guys identify that I did spot what I ruminate on to be the kindest site in the USA. If you fall short of to get in on the spirit, check it out-moded: https://pokeronline.guru/online-gambling/
    • Perhaps the best RB in Tampa Bay iin 2023 saw his program close, and is looking for a home. If he stays in the area,Venice is a good bet. (Lakeland may be as well).
    • And if that same newsletter asked the Osceola County Sheriff Department, what do you think the response would be? If you asked, members of the Chamber of Commerce? (Essentially a union of businesses) If you asked a group of nurses? If you asked a group of lawyers? Also a union cares about the working conditions of their members, but the working conditions of teachers are the learning conditions of students as well. People are attracted to careers because of the values that come with those careers. Political Parties attract people based on their values. So it shouldn't be surprising that certain professions attract certain people in certain careers. You act as if the principal's first question when we have a 5,000+ teachers shortage in this state is "who do you vote for? And are you a member of the union?"
    • I feel like y'all are always solid so I don't see y'all going no worse than 7-3. Biggest question mark for Cocoa is their O-line since they are only returning 1 and on the defensive side they only return their blue chip edge in their front 7
    • Coach Wiseman, let me just preface this by saying that you were the best HC Sarasota's program has had in the last 20+ years. You brought them from being a perpetual losing program to the doorstep of competing with Venice for a district title and a deep playoff run. SHS will curse the day they fired you now that they are back in a rut. You are a true class act, and nothing will ever convince me otherwise.  Our backfield is certainly sparse right now. We do have Dorian Jones, a rising sophomore runningback whom did considerably well considering his limited playing time last season. Our offense will need an overhaul with the graduation of 3 offensive linemen and almost our entire receiving corps. Our defensive line will be strong with the return of Ke'shawn Vaughn, Elijah Jones, and Asharri Charles. Our linebacking corps graduates virtually everybody but should have at least one bright spot with the return of Ben Zarkawiecz. Our defensive backfield is still a work in progress with the graduation of Lester and Platt. At the moment, we have more question marks than exclamation points. And that's not a good feeling with the kind of competition Venice is going to face.
