we year in and year out have to replace talent, last year it was like 20+ seniors as it is like 25+ this year going into next year, we are going to lose all 4 starters in the secondary, losing like 3 starting LBs and i beilive a starting DL and we losing 3 star recievers, however we have serval young players coming back on defense and after they get serval months in weightroom and working 7 on 7 and spring and summer, they should be ready come fall, and 7 on 7 will allow us to develop the next group of recievers, and we bring back our top 2 running backs, our quarterback, and our OL should be good going into next year, and we have a great coaching staff who will take this deep run and use it both as motivation for us to keep pushing and as a learning moment to show to them what the team will have to do to make a deep run this year as well, so i think we might accually be better team next year

not to mention this past year was our quarterbacks first year as starter so he should be better this season and if we can fill the void of our recievers leaving, our offense will be a much more dangourous juggernaut this year then last year which is really saying something

That is a pretty good list.  I think some of those teams/schools might be from the 1800's...What was the date of Columbia's first official game?

It always amazes me that a team like Columbia, being from the small city of Lake City and being in 7A, can be a truly quality team that they are. Does Columbia HS pull from all of Columbia County or is there another HS there? I somehow believe that, over the course of Trinity's seasons, we played Columbia either in a Spring game or a KO Classic. I kind of remember it may have happened. There is no way, on Maxpreps or the FHSAA site, to research Spring Games and KO Classics through their database as far as I know.

We also got fort white pulling some talent kinda sad because fort white is not going to have enough to beat a team like Trenton or Madison but we were in a competitive 90s facing GHS and Lincoln who were loaded and even as smallest 6A team in 97 we beat them all, but I'm got all the respect for our coaches who work hours every day to get us in the spot that I know our time is now to finally make that run

I just read in newspaper bout us going to Valdosta state camp and word was all positive, 4 quality receivers going into the season and a rising freshman with good size and a very talented sophmore quarterback for future after senior quarterback leaves so I'm confident Columbia will be good for a while

Is there a reason Columbia stock appears to be dropping on this board that I Dont know about? If im missing something then please do tell because I'm failing to understand it, if you are able to look closely at the roster and deep into the team you will see that the team overall has a high probability of being better then last year so I just don't know what has brought on the stock dropping lately, I have talked to several people and when I breakdown postion by postion so far I see 6/8 postion groups right now that Ik will be better and the other 2 can be as good if not better by mid season once they get some game reps so truthfully this year team I already see as being better then last year

I don't see anyone dropping Columbia's stock. Columbia is a very good team and respected in most everyone's polls on this board. I think you being such a diehard fan though tends to make you more sensitive to what other people think about Columbia.  No matter how good anyone else thinks Columbia is it will never be as good as you think they are, and that is okay.  If Columbia goes on to win state you can gloat over everyone on this board. If that happens it will be one of the sweetest thing you will ever experience. I hope for your sake y'all do win it all.  Also you have to realize that Broward and a few others really like rattling your cage.

The sweetest thing about a team like Columbia winning a title would be to look back at all the hard losses and adversity we have had to overcome to get there and finally realizing that all that hardship just makes the final piece of success that much sweeter to celebrate and with how many hours the players and coaches put in as well as everyone who sacrifices time in the program they deserve the chance to feel that victory, a lot of teams out there but we are long overdue for that championship, this past year bishop morre ended a nearly 50 year drought and I look foward to our drought ending

I heard that they had their back ups in when Columbia scored late. Columbia still had their starters in.

No, we were about to score on their starters as we had starters on both sides into the 4th quarter then they ran their backups out there and asked us to do the same and Thats when scoring stopped, I was not going to count any score by backups, I was also scorestreaming the game and once the backups went in I put that as the game final
