Hey Columbia...................read it and smile. I don't know a huge amount about Gainesville. Just watched them play a few times against us at Trinity and against Vanguard. My thoughts are that Gainesville will revert to the "worst case" scenario. There is no way, with what they lost to graduation and transfers, including a Sophomore QB who has little experience, that they are going to challenge this season. IMHO, they will not defeat Columbia nor will they defeat Vanguard. May not even have a 5-5 season.

Columbia has Senior QB Davin Schuck  3865 Yds passing, and also Senior RB Kamario Bell 1,235 yds rushing back. What a duo they are. On the minus side most of your WR's graduated along with many defensive players. Any standout players that will be replacing those graduates?

Senior Robbie moon talented DL player, sophomore jaylen Brown and junior SL McCall should both put up solid season's this year at linebacker and tj Jones sophmore and nate Maxwell junior could put up good numbers at WR those ones that come to my head immediately, several more who could have breakout years as well

Columbia will be good enough to beat any team on their schedule and is good enough to beat the teams in the north bracket in playoffs, last night we played with 4 starters out and still went on the road with a offense that haven't fully gelled yet and managed to beat the 8a number 1 team (the same that beat us last year very handily and is gonna be a better team this year then last year)

This Columbia team will go as far as they want so we will see Lakeland in final 4 but we just proved we can go into hostile territory to beat one of the top elite programs in state while not even at our best

I posted this on national board and decided to add it on the Columbia football trend as well

I wish I knew why eastside continues to struggle, they used to be a decent team but last few years they haven't seemed to be making any progress

They continue to struggle because all of their good players transfer to Gainesville and Buchholz. Some might even transfer to Oak Hall and St. Francis Catholic. Unfortunately, Eastside is not very good academically and probably has disciplinary issues. Even football players want a decent education.
