Florida HS Football’s Third Round Predictions – 1A, 2A, 3A & 4A

CLASS 4A STATE SEMIFINALS
Florida High (8-4) at Bolles (9-3): Not the match up we were expecting Class 4A North, but both teams have been working hard to get this point. Bolles has shown us not to count them and Florida High is looking to get to its first state championship game in school history. This game will be decided upon who is really hungry to win and who comes out and plays their best game.
Prediction: Bolles 30, Florida High 24

Cocoa (11-1) at Booker T. Washington (10-0): These teams meet for the third year in a row for a chance to punch a ticket to Orlando. Both teams have the tools to be a state championship-caliber style teams, but the one key thing that will be the difference is speed. That is what Booker T. Washington has on the field and they have shown it each and every game they have played this season. We don’t expect anything to change here.
Prediction: Booker T. Washington 35, Cocoa 24

CL ASS 3A STATE SEMIFINALS
Trinity Christian-Jacksonville (10-1) at Tampa Catholic (10-2): Two of the states best Class 3A teams face off for a chance to play for a state title next week. Both teams have tons of talent and both are deserving to represent Class 3A North. This game could be a tossup, but we have to make our pick here. It will be close.
Prediction: Trinity Christian 24, Tampa Catholic 23

Clearwater Central Catholic (10-2) at Westminster Christian (11-1): Clearwater Central Catholic makes the trek across and down the state to take on Westminster Christian. This game will likely be won by who comes out and plays their best football. The biggest issue will be if the long trip will effect the Marauders or not.
Prediction: Clearwater Central Catholic 27, Westminster Christian 24

CLASS 2A STATE SEMIFINALS
Victory Christian (9-3) at North Florida Christian (9-2): What a week can do to shake up the playoffs and we have a matchup we did not even expect to happen. Both teams are consistent on every aspect of the game and both have shown why through the course of the playoffs as to why they should play for a state championship. This one should be a good one.
Prediction: North Florida Christian 27, Victory Christian 20

Champagnat (12-0) at Indian Rocks Christian (10-2): For both teams, this is their first state semifinal game in school history and both are just as a hungry for a chance to get to the state championship game in Orlando next week. Champagnat has been running fast and furious with several major Division I prospects, while Indian Rocks Christian has shown you don’t need well known talent to win game and make a deep playoff run.
Prediction: Champagnat 30, Indian Rocks Christian 20

CLASS 1A STATE SEMIFINALS
Blountstown (12-0) at Cottondale (8-4): Expectations were for Blountstown to get to this point, but Cottondale has been a huge surprise in the playoffs upseting Baker in the first round and then knocking off the defending 1A state champion, Northview in the second round. However, this week it will come to an end for the Hornets as the Tigers are just too powerful to be stopped.
Prediction: Blountstown 35, Cottondale 17

Dixie County (10-0) at Trenton (10-1): Small town football and this game should be standing room only as this rivalry meets for round two this year. Both teams have the talent that has taken them this far, but Dixie County seems to have a slight advantage on how to use its weapons. Overall, either team would represent very well in the Class 1A state championship game next week.
Prediction: Dixie County 28, Trenton 27
