FLAG FOOTBALL: Robinson holds top spot, Westwood closing in Class 1A Top 10 rankings

As week three begins, there was little movement in the poll this week with the exception of one team.
Top ranked Robinson remains on top of the poll, with Westwood, Northeast, Seabreeze and Orange Park not far behind.

1. Robinson (1-0)
Last week: No. 1
Why: Defending state runner-ups got off to a fast start with 52-0 win over Jefferson and has been idle since thanks to Spring Break. The Knights return to action March 21 at Blake and March 24 at home against Brooks DeBartolo and March 28 at Leto.

2. Fort Pierce Westwood (4-0)
Last week: No. 2
Why: Three up and three down for Westwood with shut out wins over Port St Lucie 45-0, Fort Pierce Central 40-0 and Jensen Beach 26-0 followed by a 39-0 win over Fort Pierce Central this past week. After Spring Break, they return with games March 29 against South Fork and March 31 at Pahokee.

3. St. Petersburg Northeast (3-0)
Last week: No. 5
Why: Had little trouble in opening week posting two shut outs in wins over Dixie Hollins 35-0 and Lakewood 20-0 and followed that up with a dominating win over Gibbs 40-0 to remain undefeated and unscored on still outscoring opponents 95-0 through three games.

4. Seabreeze (3-0)
Last week: No. 6
Why: Sandcrabs won a tough 12-6 decision over a solid New Smyrna Beach team this week after cruising to easy wins over Pine Ridge 20-7 and Matanzas 26-7 the week before. Their game with Atlantic was rained out and will be made up at a later date. After coming back from Spring Break the Crabs will take on Spruce Creek March 29 before the huge showdown April 5 with Mainland looming.

5. Orange Park (2-0)
Last week: No. 7
Why: Raiders outscored its first two opponents 80-7 with dominating wins over Stanton 39-0 and Ridgeview 41-7. After a 21 day layoff including Spring Break the Raiders get back to work March 30 with Baldwin coming for a key district game.

6. Monsignor Pace (5-0)
Last week: No. 9
Why: Posted two huge shutouts in wins over Goleman 39-0 and Mater Lakes Academy 47-0 to open the season and followed that up with a 13-6 win over Oxbridge, and 41-0 wins over Miami Norland and Monsignor Pace this week to remain undefeated. After Spring Break, the Spartans return March 30 to face Carol City.

7. FAMU (1-0)
Last week: 4
Why: Rattlers had little trouble with Rickards easily dispatching the Raiders 33-0 in the season opener. Since then FAMU took last week off for Spring Break and return with games against Chiles March 22 and Godby March 24.

8. Harmony (1-0)
Last week: No. 8
Why: Harmony had their hands full with rival Celebration before pulling away with 18-6 win. Since that win, the Longhorns have been on Spring Break and return to the field with games March 23 against Gateway and March 29 Edgewater.

9. Glades Central (4-0)
Last week: No. 10
Why: Raiders moved into the top ten last week with wins over Palm Beach Central 18-12, Jensen Beach 20-7 and Port St Lucie 20-0 and followed that up with a 19-0 win over a solid HM Suncoast team.

10. Mainland (4-0)
Last week: HM
Why: The Bucs are on a head on collision with arch-rival Seabreeze for an epic April 5 meeting at Mainland, with the top seed in District 9-1A race at stake. The Bucs have allowed only 7 points through four games so far and have outscored their opponents 68-7 so far.

Dropped out: No. 3 Seminole Osceola (2-1)

Armwood (1-0)
Why: The Hawks opened with a 20-6 win over Jefferson nearly two weeks ago and get back to work after taking Spring Break off with games against Middleton March 22 and King March 28 this week.

Boca Ciega (4-0)
Why: Pirates swept games with Lakewood 25-19 and Palm Harbor 28-0 this week to remain undefeated heading into the break. After Spring Break, the Pirates will take on Pinellas Park on March 29 and St. Petersburg on April 1 in a pair of non-district games.

Chiles (1-0)
Why: The Timberwolves have been idle since their 28-0 win March 10 over Florida High thanks to Spring Break this past week and they return with home games against FAMU March 22 and Leon March 24.

Choctawhatchee (1-0)
Why: The only game scheduled last week against Crestview was rained out and now the Indians head into Spring Break this week before coming back to hosts arch-rival Fort Walton Beach March 29 and nemesis Niceville March 31 in two key District 1-1A games.

Englewood (2-0)
Why: In their lone game of the week the Rams cruised to a 27-6 win over Jackson before their game with Stanton was postponed due to bad weather. After taking Spring Break off this week, the Rams return with a huge game at Parker March 29.

Godby (1-0)
Why: Godby started the season with a tight 7-0 win over arch-rival Lincoln and now looks to get back into district play with games against East Gadsden March 22 and FAMU March 24 this week after coming back from Spring Break.

Lincoln (0-1)
Why: The tough 7-0 loss to arch-rival Godby was a great indication of what this Trojan team is capable reason why they are still in the thick of the poll. Lincoln took last week off for Spring Break and returns with home games against Florida High March 22 and a key district game against Wakulla March 24.

Miami Edison (2-0)
Why: First year program is dominating area teams so far posting back-to-back shutouts in a 22-0 win over Keys Gate Charter and a 42-0 win over North Miami Beach.

New Smyrna Beach (2-1)
Why: Barracudas were cruising with wins over Matanzas 18-6 and Atlantic 33-0 before dropping a tough 13-6 decision to Seabreeze this week. After Spring Break, they return with away games March 29 at DeLand and March 30 at Spruce Creek.

Niceville (0-1)
Why: The lone game the Eagles were scheduled to play was a district game with Fort Walton Beach, unfortunately that game was rained out. Now Niceville goes into Spring Break and returns to the field March 29 at Crestview and then the rematch with Choctaw March 31.

Oxbridge Academy (2-1)
Why: After wins over Coral Springs Charter 18-0 and Olympic Heights 26-0, Oxbridge was cruising along until a tough 13-6 loss to Miami Pace this past week. After Spring Break they return with games at Suncoast March 29 and March 31 at home against Somerset Canyons.

Paxon (2-0)
Why: Eagles whipped Ribault 32-6 to remain in three way tie with Parker and Englewood for the top seed in the District 3-1A race. After Spring Break the Eagles return with key district home games against Stanton March 29 and Parker March 31.

Seminole Osceola (2-1)
Why: Osceola was high as No. 3 last week before stumbling to St. Petersburg 19-12 in a non-district game.

Spoto (2-0)
Why: Spoto was on Spring Break last week and returns to the field to host a pair of district games against Lennard March 22 and Middleton March 28 this week.

Stranahan (3-0)
Why: Through three games they have wins over Coral Glades 27-6, Archbishop McCarthy 12-0 and Pompano Beach 50-0 this week to remain on top of the District 1A-13 race.

Suncoast (3-1)
Why: Started season with wins over Somerset Canyons 24-6 and Royal Palm Beach 20-0 before spliting games with Glades Central and Coral Springs Charter this past week.

Terry Parker (3-0)
Why: The Braves picked up key district wins over Westside 20-0 and Raines 39-6 to remain tied with both Englewood and Paxon in the District 3-1A race. Parker hosts Englewood March 29 and travels to Paxon March 31 when it returns from Spring Break.

West Port (3-0)
Why: It’s hard to say just how really good this Wolfpack team really is with two of their wins coming against a winless Palatka team. With a win already over Vanguard 13-6 earlier in the year, the Wolfpack look to get the sweep with a game March 29 in Ocala before hosting another tough challenge from Keystone Heights March 30.
