JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – On Friday, the Jacksonville Jaguars hosted 24 teams in the Jacksonville area as part of their 2022 Girls Flag Football Preseason Classic at TIAA Bank Field as part of their Jaguars Prep series of events for high school football and girls flag football.

Of the 24 teams represented at the tournament included 14 were from Duval County, the home county of the Jaguars, seven were from Clay County, and the rest coming from other fledging areas where girls flag football programs have taken shape over the last few years.

The event which included support from the Florida High School 7v7 Association and Dream Finders Homes, brought the teams together to offer the teams the experience of playing inside an NFL stadium.

As such, top teams from the state to be represented at the tournament included 2021 regional finalist Middleburg, regional semifinalist Jacksonville Andrew Jackson, and perennial playoff contender Green Cove Springs Clay.
