Vero Beach fought hard to come back on Jensen Beach to open the season but the Falcons pulled away with the home victory to start the season off 1-0 … Courtney Cromer led the Falcons going 20-of-29 passing for 137 yards and 2 touchdowns as well as a rushing touchdown … Bella Faherty led Jensen Beach on defense with 6 flag pulls and 3 sacks while Lauren Duke accounted for 2 touchdown receptions and 2 interceptions, one which was returned for a TD in the third quarter.

CYPRESS CREEK (ORLANDO) 26, HORIZON 0

Nadina Sinachar led the way for the Bears with over 150 passing yards and three touchdowns and only throwing one interception on the night against first-year Winter Garden Horizon … Torri Bernard had 190 total yards as well for the Bears and accounted for an interception and six flag pulls in posting the shutout to move to 1-0 on the young season.

Lake Weir playing their second game in as many days in the new season moved to 2-0 after running away with things against Citrus … Erilynn Beltre led the night with 5 total touchdowns including four rushing touchdowns to give the visiting Hurricanes the victory over the host Hurricanes.

The Lake Weir Flag football team is 2 and 0. The team won the Battle of the Hurricanes as we defeated Citrus 33 to 7. Yes we gave up a touchdown in the 4th. QB Erilynn Beltre ran for 4 TDs and threw 1 TD. Kiana Hamilton had 2 interceptions, 1 was one handed on the sideline.

The Celtics were led by Madison Boyd who went 14-of-20 passing for 192 yards and 2 touchdowns along with 5 carries for 35 yards. Ava Crews led the defense with 6 flag pulls and a sack.
