FLAG FOOTBALL: Panhandle Flag Football Final for March 5-6, 2025

Florida Top 25 teams Choctaw and Pace notch wins; Navarre and Niceville easily handle opponents

After the first two weeks of the season we realized just how much information we could pack into our Flag Football Finals from around the state. As such starting this week, we are taking on a new approach to our Flag Football Final reports by publishing regional Flag Football Final reports on Wednesday’s for games played on Monday and Tuesday, Friday’s for games played on Wednesday and Thursday while doing a final report for the week on most Saturday evenings or Sunday afternoons for games played on Friday and Saturday.

With each Flag Football Final will provide you scores from around the region with extended recaps on some of the top games and highlight top performances for each day in the report.

Coaches who would like to provide us with a detailed box score can do so by sending in your box score report using our form by clicking here.

PANHANDLE GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK – WEEK 2

You can vote now though Sunday, March 9 at 11:59 p.m. ET/10:59 p.m. CT for the Panhandle Girls Flag Football Player of the Week for Week 2 by clicking here.

WEDNESDAY SCORES

No. 6 Choctawhatchee (Fort Walton Beach) 18, Fort Walton Beach 7

The No. 6 Indians showcased their strength against the Vikings, combining a balanced offensive attack with a stifling defense. Quarterback Diaris Morales completed 16-of-30 passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns, adding 21 rushing yards on three carries. Senior Ariana Gonzales led the receiving corps with four catches for 38 yards and two scores while contributing six flag pulls and a 55-yard interception return on defense. Freshman Miran Redondo was a force in the backfield, recording two sacks for a combined 15-yard loss.

No. 9 Pace 27, Crestview 0

The No. 9 Patriots showcased their dominance over the Bulldogs with a balanced offensive performance and a strong defensive stand. Quarterback Amaya Pablo completed 21-of-32 passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns. Sophomore Kenna Pacitti led all receivers with seven catches for 63 yards and two touchdowns, while senior Emily Good added 43 yards and a touchdown. On defense, Josie Arthur had an interception with an 80-yard return and contributed seven flag pulls, leading the Patriots to a 27-0 win.

Navarre 37, Tate (Cantonment) 0

The Raiders, ranked No. 10 in Class 3A, overwhelmed the Aggies with an explosive offense and relentless defense. Senior quarterback Natalie Busch completed 16-of-29 passes for 163 yards and six touchdowns, adding 45 rushing yards on five carries. Junior Avery Didion was unstoppable with six catches for 72 yards and four touchdowns. Defensively, juniors Lila Geus and Nevaeh Hubbard each registered three sacks, as Navarre’s defense recorded six sacks in total in the victory.

Niceville 38, Gulf Breeze 0

The Eagles soared past the Dolphins with a potent offensive display led by sophomore quarterback Peyton Carter, who completed 14-of-28 passes for 235 yards and five touchdowns. Junior Layla Hughes made the most of her four receptions, gaining 91 yards and scoring two touchdowns, including a 75-yard strike. Freshman Eden Shaw led all receivers with 106 yards and a touchdown, while junior Khamauri Hardy showcased versatility with rushing, receiving, and punt return contributions in a 38-0 win.

WEDNESDAY’S TOP PERFORMANCES

QB/LB Amaya Pablo, Pace, Sr. – Completed 21-of-32 passes for 166 yards and three touchdowns, added two flag pulls on defense in a 27-0 win over Crestview.

QB Diaris Morales, Choctawhatchee (Fort Walton Beach), Jr. – Completed 16-of-30 passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns, added 21 rushing yards on three carries in an 18-7 win over Fort Walton Beach.

WR/DB Ariana Gonzales, Choctawhatchee (Fort Walton Beach), Sr. – Caught four passes for 38 yards and two touchdowns, recorded six flag pulls, and returned an interception 55 yards in an 18-7 win over Fort Walton Beach.

R/WR Miran Redondo, Choctawhatchee (Fort Walton Beach), Fr. – Registered two sacks for a 15-yard loss and added two flag pulls in an 18-7 win over Fort Walton Beach.

WR/LB Emily Good, Pace, Sr. – Recorded four catches for 43 yards and a touchdown, added seven flag pulls in a 27-0 win over Crestview.

DB Josie Arthur, Pace, Jr. – Notched an 80-yard interception return for a touchdown and added three flag pulls in a 27-0 win over Crestview.

QB Natalie Busch, Navarre, Sr. – Completed 16-of-29 passes for 163 yards and six touchdowns, rushed for 45 yards on five carries in a 37-0 win over Tate.

WR Avery Didion, Navarre, Jr. – Caught six passes for 72 yards and four touchdowns, added five flag pulls on defense in a 37-0 win over Tate.

ATH Lila Geus, Navarre, Jr. – Recorded three sacks and added four flag pulls in a 37-0 win over Tate.

ATH Nevaeh Hubbard, Navarre, Sr. – Notched three sacks for 16 yards and contributed five flag pulls in a 37-0 win over Tate.

QB Peyton Carter, Niceville, So. – Completed 14-of-28 passes for 235 yards and five touchdowns, guided the offense effectively in a 38-0 win over Gulf Breeze.

ATH Layla Hughes, Niceville, Jr. – Caught four passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns, recorded two flag pulls on defense in a 38-0 win over Gulf Breeze.

WR Eden Shaw, Niceville, Fr. – Hauled in six passes for 106 yards and a touchdown in a 38-0 win over Gulf Breeze.

QB/S/RB Kyendra Thomas, Wakulla (Crawfordville), Sr. – Threw for 94 yards and three touchdowns, added six flag pulls and recorded three interceptions in a 19-0 win over FAMU DRS.
