National Rankings Roundup: St. Thomas Aquinas continues to lead the way

Here is this week’s National Rankings Roundup:

In the USA TODAY Super 25 rankings, compiled by Jim Halley, St. Thomas Aquinas still handing on to the No. 2 spot which is only right behind No. 1 Bishop Gorman out of Las Vegas. Plantation American Heritage rises up from No. 16 to No. 10 while IMG Academy jumps from No. 17 to No. 12. Flanagan rounds out the teams from Florida ranked at No. 16

The HSFB 100 Rankings, as compiled by Dallas Jackson at NationalHSFootball.com, ranks the Top 100 teams in the nation each week and twelve teams from Florida this week are ranked as we head into Week 4. The highest ranked team right now is St. Thomas Aquinas holding at No. 3 while Plantation American Heritage and IMG Academy are also inside the Top 10. West Orange and Kissmmee Osceola are the two new teams from Florida in the rankings this week after Cocoa and Lakeland were knocked out due to losses to IMG Academy and Miami Carol City respectively.

No changes were found in MaxPreps’ Xcellent 25 rankings all five teams that have been ranked from Florida continue to hold their places with just minor shift either moving up or down a spot. St. Thomas Aquinas is the top team here once again at No. 2

St. Thomas Aquinas continues to hold as the top team from Florida ranked in the current PrepNation Football Poll, staying ranked as the No. 3 team. Plantation American Heritage and IMG Academy both rose three spots to their current positions this week while Mainland rounds off the four teams from Florida that is ranked.

In the latest High School Football American Top 25 poll as put together by Jeff Fisher through the High School Football American algorithm. Again remember no opinion is placed into these rankings, so things will look a little different here. Leading the way for Florida is St. Thomas Aquinas, ranked as the No. 5 team in the nation. IMG Academy, Mainland hold steady in the rankings while Plantation American Heritage enters the rankings this week at No. 25.
