2025 GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL RANKINGS
WEEK 3
Welcome to the third edition of the 2025 Girls Flag Football Rankings from FloridaHSFootball.com. With two weeks of the season done, there are some changes that are coming about to the Florida Top 25 and the Classification Rankings this week.
Some things taken into consideration this week include team performance along with an understanding that not everyone is still full strength due to some teams having athletes in postseason playoffs for basketball and some of those from soccer which can impact a team until those athletes become available for the season. Also, more recent wins and losses will weigh heavier overall on the rankings (i.e. wins and losses in Week 2 will weigh heavier vs. those from Week 1, etc.).
We will update these rankings weekly and will provide a Top 10 for each of the four classifications along with our Florida Top 25 which is the Top 25 teams in girls flag football regardless of classification. To be ranked in the Florida Top 25, teams have to be ranked in the Top 10 of their classification to be considered.
FLORIDA TOP 25
Ranking, Team, Classification, Current Record, Previous

1. Alonso (Tampa) (4A), 5-0, 4
Quality Wins: Steinbrenner (Lutz) (4A), Robinson (Tampa) (1A); Quality Losses: None
With upsetting previous No. 1 Robinson, the Ravens made the move up to No. 1 not only in the Florida Top 25 but also became the No. 1 ranked team in Class 4A. The Ravens’ master class in shutting out Robinson for the second time in the last three years is a huge statement win.

2. Lennard (Ruskin) (4A), 4-0, 2
Quality Wins: Newsome (Lithia) (4A); Quality Losses: None
Yes, we know that the Longhorns were the No. 1 team in Class 4A last week. The Longhorns did nothing wrong as they slide back a spot in those rankings, but not in the Florida Top 25. They won their games against Newsome (4A) – in a game that saw rain coming down sideways that resulted in the only points coming up on the board was a safety – and walloping East Lake (Tarpon Springs) (3A). Lennard could potentially see Alonso this weekend in the She Is Football Tournament at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Training Facility in Tampa.

3. Robinson (Tampa) (2A), 4-1, 1
Quality Wins: Belleview (3A); Quality Losses: Alonso (Tampa) (4A)
The Knights suffer their first loss in 37 games going back to 2023 against – you guessed it – now No. 1 Alonso. Honestly, the loss for Robinson is not bad as it powered them to pick up wins against Forest (Ocala) (4A) and Belleview to go along with defeating neighborhood rival Plant (Tampa) (4A). Overall, we feel they are still the top team in Class 2A and a Top 5 team in the Sunshine State.

4. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale) (3A), 3-0, 5
Quality Wins: Pembroke Pines Charter (3A); Quality Losses: None
Only one game this past week where the Raiders cruised by Dillard (Fort Lauderdale) (2A) in an easy 35-0 victory.

5. Seminole Ridge (Westlake) (3A), 2-0, 6
Quality Wins: None; Quality Losses: None
The Hawks are continuing their climb up the rankings and did so after defeating Park Vista (Lake Worth) 4A, 25-6 in their lone game in Week 2.

6. Choctawhatchee (Fort Walton Beach) (2A), 2-0, 7
Quality Wins: Navarre (3A); Quality Losses: None
Securing a nice season-opening victory over Class 3A ranked Navarre got the Indians off on the right start to the season and then proceeded to demolish county foe Crestview (3A) to cap off a perfect week in Week 2.

7. Miami Edison (1A), 4-0, 8
Quality Wins: Miami Palmetto (2A); Quality Losses: None
The Red Raiders are looking back to true form of themselves as they skated by a competitive Hialeah Gardens (4A) team only to basically destroy Miami Central (2A) to remain undefeated on the season.

8. Miami Palmetto (4A), 3-1, 9
Quality Wins: None; Quality Losses: Miami Edison (1A)
Picking up two victories – both which were shutouts over Ferguson (Miami) (4A) and Coral Gables (4A) – allowed the Panthers to move in the rankings this week.

9. Pace (3A), 3-0, 10
Quality Wins: None; Quality Losses: None
Nothing too fancy this past week for the Patriots who handled business against Destin (IND) and Fort Walton Beach (2A), winning those games by a combined score of 51-6.

10. Clay (Green Cove Springs) (2A), 3-0, 11
Quality Wins: None; Quality Losses: None
Clay breaks into the Top 10 this week thanks to shutout victories over in-county rival Middleburg (3A) and Columbia (Lake City) (2A) as the Blue Devils have only given up six total points so far in three games.

11. Miami Southridge (3A), 5-0, 13
Quality Wins: None; Quality Losses: None
Moving up two spots this week, the Spartans remain undefeated after picking up wins this past week over Westwood Christian (Miami) (1A), Hialeah Gardens (4A) in double overtime, and Keys Gate Charter (Homestead) (1A).

12. Steinbrenner (Lutz) (4A), 5-1, 14
Quality Wins: Osceola (Seminole) (2A), Strawberry Crest (Dover) (4A); Quality Losses: Alonso (Tampa) (4A)
With the Warriors already over 30% complete with their 2025 season schedule, Steinbrener only took part in one game against a very solid Strawberry Crest (Dover) (4A) program, needing overtime to win that 19-13.

13. New Smyrna Beach (2A), 4-0, 15
Quality Wins: Fleming Island (3A); Quality Losses: None
Nothing earth shattering this week for the Barracudas who will travel to Tallahassee later this week for the Capital City Classic picking up wins last week over Pine Ridge (Deltona) (2A) and Lake Mary (4A) to remain undefeated.

14. St. Petersburg (2A), 4-0, 16
Quality Wins: None; Quality Losses: None
Moving up two spots this week, the Green Devils continue to play well and picked up wins over first-year program Clearwater Central Catholic (1A) and Clearwater (2A).

15. Wellington (4A), 4-0, 22
Quality Wins: Homestead (3A); Quality Losses: None
This is where some of the shuffling in the Florida Top 25 takes place with the Wolverines rising quickly seven spots after the took care of business against Pahokee (1A) and Atlantic (Delray Beach) (3A), both shut out victories. Wellington has outscored opponents 109-0 in their first four games.

16. Spanish River (Boca Raton) (4A), 5-0, NR
Quality Wins: Palm Beach Gardens (3A), Sumner (Riverview) (4A), Osceola (Seminole) (2A); Quality Losses: None
The Sharks make their debut in the Florida Top 25 as part of the reshuffling of the rankings after picking up a big win over Palm Beach Gardens, easily taking of business against West Boca Raton (3A) and going 2-0 in games at the Bull Shark Invitational in Bonita Springs against Sumner and Osceola.

17. Ed White (Jacksonville) (2A), 3-1, 17
Quality Wins: None; Quality Losses: None
The Commanders slipped by first-year program Eagle’s View (Jacksonville) (IND) in a close game to start Week 2 but shut out Middleburg (3A) to pick up two more wins on the season.

18. Fletcher (Neptune Beach) (3A), 2-1, 19
Quality Wins: None; Quality Losses: Stanton (2A)
Fletcher moves up a spot despite only one game this past week, a 13-12 victory over rival Sandalwood (Jacksonville) (4A).

19. Palm Beach Gardens (4A), 3-1, NR
Quality Wins: Fort Pierce Central (4A); Quality Losses: Spanish River (Boca Raton) (4A)
What a week it was for the Gators who started the week off with a loss to Spanish River but picked up a huge 20-14 victory over previous No. 4 Fort Pierce Central that vaulted the Gators into the Florida Top 25 this week.

20. Somerset Canyons (Boynton Beach) (1A), 4-0, 20
Quality Wins: None; Quality Losses: None
The Cougars held steady after shutting out Glades Central (Belle Glade) (IND) and Cardinal Newman (West Palm Beach) (1A) in Week 2 action. Somerset Canyons has yet to yield a point so far this season.

21. Fort Pierce Central (4A), 4-1, 3
Quality Wins: None; Quality Losses: Palm Beach Gardens (4A)
What a wild week it was for the Cobras, easily handling business at the start of the week against Port St. Lucie (2A) but suffered their first setback to now No. 16 Palm Beach Gardens.

22. Stoneman Douglas (Parkland) (4A), 5-0, NR
Quality Wins: Boyd Anderson (Lauderdale Lakes) (3A); Quality Losses: None
You will have to forgive us for not having Stoneman Douglas ranked in the Florida Top 25 until now. When it comes to the rankings, sometimes we are a bit more hesitant on some teams over others because of historical reasons along with wanting to see if they can show us why they should be ranked in the Florida Top 25. Well, the Eagles did that when they defeated previous No. 21 Boyd Anderson in a close 6-0 battle late week, to earn their place in the rankings.

23. Western (Davie) (4A), 3-1, 23
Quality Wins: None; Quality Losses: Boyd Anderson (3A)
Wildcat seemingly got in form this week as the notched back-to-back shut out victories over Monarch (Coconut Creek) (4A) and Everglades (Miramar) (3A) as they hold steady in the rankings.

24. Homestead (3A), 1-1, 25
Quality Wins: None; Quality Losses: Wellington (4A)
The Broncos picked up their first win of the season in their only game last week with a 49-0 thumping over Somerset Silver Palms (Miami) (1A).

25. Boyd Anderson (Lauderdale Lakes) (3A), 2-0, 21
Quality Wins: Western (Davie) (4A), True North (Miami) (1A); Quality Losses: Stoneman Douglas (Parkland) (4A)
Week two was a mixed bag of results for the Cobras who easily picked up wins over Coral Springs (3A) and True North (Miami) (1A), but it was a loss to the Stoneman Douglas Eagles despite being close has Boyd Anderson going back a few spots in the Florida Top 25 going into Week 3.
