Voting concluded Sunday night for the first week of our Girls Flag Football Player of the Week polls that we ran on FloridaHSFootball.com last week and we had over 130,000 votes cast across all eight polls we ran.
Here are each of the eight winners and their statistics from Week 1 that won them their respective region’s Girls Flag Football Player of the Week Award.
WEEK 1 GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
PANHANDLE

QB Amaya Pablo, Pace, Sr.
Went 19-of-24 passing for 212 yards and seven touchdowns in a 72-0 victory over Pine Forest.
Amaya won the Week 1 Panhandle Girls Flag Football Player of the Week voting with 62.7% of the vote.

RB/WR Nichelle Brown, Bradford (Starke), Sr.
Racked up over 300 yards of offense with 105 yards rushing and 195 yards receiving and five total touchdowns in a 51-0 victory over KIPP Bold City.
Nichelle won the Week 1 North Central Florida Girls Flag Football Player of the Week voting with 93.3% of the vote.

WR Danyelle Bell, West Nassau (Callahan), Jr.
Had 126 yards rushing, 196 receiving yards, seven total TDs (three rushing TDs, 4 receiving TDs), scoring 46 total points, including 3 PATs and 1 3-point conversion in wins over KIPP Bold City and Global Outreach Charter.
Danyelle won the Week 1 Northeast Florida Girls Flag Football Player of the Week voting with 42.8% of the vote.

R Kiara Hernandez, Oviedo, Jr.
Recorded three sacks and seven flag pulls in a 58-0 victory over Crooms Academy (Sanford).
Kiara won the Week 1 Central Florida Girls Flag Football Player of the Week voting with 44.6% of the vote.
TAMPA BAY

QB Sydney Elizondo, Lennard (Ruskin), Jr.
Went 41-of-59 passing for 441 yards and 12 touchdowns in shutout victories over Leto and Plant City.
Sydney won the Week 1 Tampa Bay Girls Flag Football Player of the Week voting with 67.2% of the vote.

QB Kylee Terry, Bonita Springs, Jr.
Went 13-of-20 passing for 112 yards and two touchdowns and had four carries for 14 yards in a 19-0 victory over Cape Coral. Went 10-of-23 passing for 63 yards and a touchdown in a 6-0 victory over Estero.
Kylee won the Week 1 Southwest Florida Girls Flag Football Player of the Week voting with 60.4% of the vote.
SPACE & TREASURE COAST

WR/ATH Erin Boyd, Fort Pierce Central, Fr.
In her first three high school games as a freshman, Boyd recorded 10 receptions for 222 yards and three touchdowns while recording three flag pulls and three interceptions on defense in victories over Sebastian River, Fort Pierce Westwood, and Park Vista.
Erin won the Week 1 Space Coast & Treasure Coast Girls Flag Football Player of the Week voting with 94.6% of the vote.

QB Sherice Newton, St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale), Sr.
Threw for nine touchdowns passes in victories over Lake Worth and Pembroke Pines Charter. Also recorded two interceptions on defense with one that was returned for a touchdown in the victory over Lake Worth.
Erin won the Week 1 South Florida Girls Flag Football Player of the Week voting with 99.4% of the vote.
