ORLANDO | Orlando Christian Prep Athletic Director Jereme Cadorette announced in a press release Tuesday morning, that they have hired Guerschom Demosthenes as the new head coach for the Warriors Football program.
Demonsthenes replaces Dave Langdon who recently went to be an assistant coach at Trinity Prep under their new head coach, Mike Kruczek.
This will be Demosthenes first head coaching job.
Demosthenes has been the defensive coordinator at Cypress Creek in Orlando the past three season and an extensive coaching background already that includes several stops at schools in the Orlando-area. Programs he has been involved include Dr. Phillips (two stints), Pine Castle Christian, Evans and The First Academy. He is a 1999 graduate of Utah State, where he played defensive back.
“Coach Langdon did a great job getting the program up and running, and we believe that Guerschom is the perfect fit to lead our program into the future. He has a great football pedigree, including playing at the college level, coaching in both small school and large school environments and will be a great role model to our student body,” Cadorette said in the press release.
Orlando Christian Prep will become a member of the Sunshine State Athletic Conference this upcoming season as the school becomes an FHSAA Independent member. The Warriors first football team was fielded in 2010 and has since expanded to include a new on campus football stadium since then. The press release indicated that the school will have lights installed this summer that will allow the team to host ‘Friday Night Football’ this upcoming fall.
