QUICK ANALYSIS: This district is very interesting with on of the top teams in the state in Davie Western having another successful season as they look for a second straight trip to the state finals, finished the regular season undefeated while newcomer St. Thomas Aquinas has won 11 games in the first season. Dillard which has been a playoff team the last few years and reached the Class 1A state championship game in 2019 will need to have a strong performance in hopes that their power ranking will climb high enough to get at least an at-large playoff berth. But it appears at least this district will have two teams reach the regional playoffs this season.

Winner of Play-In/Cooper City vs. Winner of Boyd Anderson/Dr. Krop, 4
FINALS
at Hollywood McArthur
Thursday
District Championship, 4
QUICK ANALYSIS: Cypress Bay has been a stunning performer this year claiming the No. 1 seed over potential district favorites Cooper City and Dr. Krop. Cooper City has bounced back this season after struggling last season and falling early in the district tournament while Dr. Krop struggled at the start of the season but has since bounced back nicely but will have to work their way through the district to make sure they can at least secure an at-large playoff berth. Overall, there is a good chance that three teams from this district could emerge into the regional playoff bracket. The biggest thing to note here in all of this… Cypress Bay and Cooper City have not played each other in the regular season and Cooper City’s losses to Western, Tampa Robinson, and Riverview should help push them over the top, most likely. South Broward which comes into the district tournament undefeated is currently ranked No. 9 in the region and will need some help and some quality wins to potentially snag an at-large playoff berth.

QUICK ANALYSIS: Miami High has been consistent in the flag football season since Miami-Dade County added the sport back in 2016 and has earned the top seed in their district once again. Outside of that, teams like American and Goleman are going to need impressive showings in the district tournament and likely will need to reach the district championship game in hopes of reaching the playoffs with at least an at-large berth. Currently, American is ranked No. 10 in Region 4 while Goleman is No. 14.

Currently both Ferguson and Homestead rank as the No. 7 and No. 8 teams in the regional rankings while Miami Southridge who earned the No. 3 seed is sitting at No. 12 in Region 4.
