At the start of Monday night, 16 teams were left remaining in both Class 2A and Class 1A in the FHSAA Flag Football State Series.
However, only eight teams survived to reach the FHSAA Flag Football State Finals at Mandarin High School in Jacksonville this coming weekend with those eight survivors only two wins away from winning the ultimate prize – an FHSAA State Championship in one of the two respective classifications in Flag Football.
CLASS 2A
REGION 1 FINAL
No. 1 Fleming Island 19
No. 2 Pace 7
NOTES: Fleming Island throttled Pace’s passing attack as Mykayla Maddox threw for two touchdown passes in the game while Elizabeth Edwards threw for one touchdown in the Golden Eagles’ first-ever Regional Championship victory to advance to the Final Four for the first time in program history. Fleming Island moves to 16-1 on the season while the Patriots end their season at 18-3 for their best season in program history.

REGION 2 FINAL
No. 1 Lithia Newsome 14
No. 2 Tampa Alonso 13 (OT)
NOTES: Both teams were tied 7-7 at the end of regulation forcing an overtime session after Newsome trailed 7-0 at the half. This comes just over a month after Newsome pitched a shutout on Alonso at the Capital City Classic in Tallahassee. Devyn Silvestri led the team to the victory which helped force Alonso to miss the extra point to secure the victory to advance to state at Jacksonville. Newsome moves to 19-1 on the year while Alonso wraps up the season at 19-2 overall.

REGION 3 FINAL
No. 2 Boca Raton Spanish River 12
No. 5 Lake Worth Park Vista 0
NOTES: Park Vista gave it its all to get back to the state semifinals for the first time since 2019, but Spanish River is heading to State for the first time in its 25-year history (some schools including Spanish River have had flag football as a sport before the FHSAA officially recognized the sport in 2002-2003). The Sharks move to 18-2 on the season while Park Vista finishes the year at 16-2.

No. 1 Davie Western 26
No. 2 Miami High 13
NOTES: Western took care of business for the second straight year to make a return trip to state after fighting in a battle against Miami High who emerged as one of the top teams once again from Miami-Dade County this season. Western moves to 17-0 on the year while the Stingarees end the year at 15-2 overall.

NOTES: Visiting Choctaw gave the top seed in the region a ton of trouble in this matchup that saw Rowan Franklin leading the Indians to both scores on the night and not allowing the Broncos into the end zone for the first time all season. NOTES: The host Knights got the ultimate test and scare by a hot St. Petersburg Green Devils team that previously took out the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds in the region to get to the regional final matchup with the six-time defending state champions. The Knights were able to emerge out ahead and are now headed to their 10th consecutive trip to state. Robinson moves to 19-1 on the season while St. Petersburg sees the season end at 11-6.

NOTES: The host Falcons are heading back to state for the second straight year and the third time in program history after taking down a very competitive Jones program. The Falcons intercepted five passes on the night to help seal the victory and the trip back to state. Jensen Beach moves to 17-3 on the year while Jones finishes with a 14-3 overall record.
