GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Congratulations to Dakota Brower, the Oak Hall (Gainesville) junior quarterback, who was voted the scoutSMART Florida Player of the Week for his performance for Week 1 (Aug. 24-Aug. 26) of the 2023 season!
Dakota is a dual-threat quarterback who has led the Eagles to an impressive to a 4-0 start, with their most recent win a 57-6 victory over Bronson.
During Week 1 action, the 5-11, 185 pound quarterback went 5-of-7 passing for 194 yards passing and one touchdown. Dakota also had 4 carries for 36 yards in a 43-0 win over St. Joseph (St. Augustine). Dakota also participates in special teams and defense.
Dakota currently has a 3.9 grade point average and is a multisport athlete that also participates on varsity track and basketball teams. He participates along with his school in the Florida High School 7v7 Association during the offseason.
