Monday started the 2024 girls flag football season and even with it being a national holiday with Presidents Day some teams took advantage of kicking off the regular season with getting their first games in. Here is a run down of all the scores we have complied along with any news and notes from the games we have statistical information from.

Robinson 25, Newsome (Lithia) 0
The Knights got their quest off to defend their Class 1A state championship with a shutout victory over Newsome. Haidyn Spano who returns as the starting quarterback for the Knights had two rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown plus returned an interception for a touchdown in the victory.

Alonso (Tampa) 48, Wharton (Tampa) 0
The defending Class 2A state champions got the 2024 season rolling doing what they do best in pitching some prolific shutouts and that is what the Ravens did against Wharton to open the season.
Palm Beach Gardens 27, Lake Worth 0
The Gators started off the 2024 season with Myla Aligood scoring four offensive touchdowns while the defense pitched a shutout.

Plant (Tampa) 61, Spoto (Riverview) 0
In the first game back for Bo Puckett, who led the Panthers to the Class 2A state championship in 2017 saw his squad pitch a shutout while racking up 61 points in the process to get the season started on a high note.
Niceville 59, Escambia (Pensacola) 0
The Eagles torched the visiting Gators at home with a complete shutout to get the season started on an impressive note.

Interlachen struggled to get things going against their rival Keystone Heights as Camryn Link threw three interceptions in the game that led to the Rams seeing the Indians take the win to open the season.
