In a performance that turned into a record breaking night, Yulee running back Derrick Henry engraved his name several times into the state record book against Jacksonville Andrew Jackson. Henry, who rushed for a record 502 yards, broke the previous single game rushing record of 501 yards that was set in 1985 by Shawn Smith of Tampa Bay Tech in a game against Gibsonton East Bay. Henry also surpassed Emmitt Smith’s rushing mark of 8,804 yards which was the most rushing yards in a high school career until it was broken last season by Kelvin Taylor of Belle Glade Glades Day.
