As part of efforts to expand coverage of the nation’s top high school football states and programs, USA TODAY High School Sports has formed a partnership with FloridaHSFootball.com.
USA TODAY High School Sports (usatodayhss.com) will receive nationally relevant content from FloridaHSFootball.com and will create a branded page for Florida football on its site. USA TODAY HSS also will provide support and promotion and will help to drive traffic and awareness through USA TODAY Sports Digital Properties, which provides dedicated account management to increase advertising revenue by closing direct and programmatic-direct campaigns across desktop, mobile and video.
FloridaHSFootball.com, established in 2010, provides rankings, scores, video and news stories from around the state on a mobile-friendly platform with the goal of providing fresh ideas and innovative coverage of the game. The site also recently launched a Coaches Job Board for in-state openings and is expanding its coverage of Girls Flag Football, which is among the fastest growing sports offered by the Florida High School Athletic Association.
“I am excited for FloridaHSFootball.com to be joining such a strong brand in USA TODAY High School Sports that people see alongside the USA TODAY branding across the country,” said Josh Wilson, the owner and publisher of FloridaHSFootball.com. “We feel by partnering with USA TODAY High School Sports will only lead to stronger growth for our website and lead to more improved coverage of the top teams in the nation that call the Sunshine State home.”
“We feel that partnering with FloridaHSFootball.com will give us enhanced coverage with its team of reporters in the state and bolster content from our local Gannett properties and the national HSS team,” said Josh Barnett, the director of content for USA TODAY High School Sports. “We are looking forward to working with Josh and his team to enhance the experience for our respective audiences.”
USA TODAY High School Sports is the leading destination for high school sports news and information, providing nationwide coverage and aligning locally with USA TODAY Sports and Gannett properties in various markets across the country. USATHSS is home to the Super 25 national rankings and the American Family Insurance ALL-USA Teams for boys and girls sports, both serving for more than 30 years as the leading platforms for determining the best teams, and the best athletes, in scholastic sports. USATODAY HSS also is the official media partner for the Gatorade Athlete and Player of the Year programs.
