District projections for Class 4A – Regions III & IV for the 2015 season.
REGION III
District 4A-5
1. Cocoa
2. Jones
3. Astronaut
4. Lake Highland Prep
5. Atlantic (Port Orange)
Comment: Cocoa will be the dominant in this district despite the reports of low roster numbers. Jones and Astronaut will battle it out for the runner-up spot, but that will also depend on how well Astronaut has improved. Lake Highland Prep moves back to Class 4A after spending the last two seasons in Class 5A and is working to rebuild. Atlantic which just introduced a new head coach just a couple of weeks ago will find it hard to put wins together due to the many changes that have taken place this offseason.
District 4A-6
1. Bishop Verot
2. Avon Park
3. Mulberry
4. Tenoroc
5. LaBelle
6. Lake Placid
7. Gateway Charter
Comment: By far the weakest of all the districts in Class 4A, it was very hard to project out the district outside of projecting Bishop Verot winning the district. It could be a three-way race for the runner-up spot as Avon Park, Mulbery and Tenoroc should be improved. LaBelle, Lake Placid and Gateway Charter will find it hard to compete amongst the top tier of the district this season.
REGION IV
District 4A-7
1. Clewiston
2. Glades Central
3. University School
4. Somerset Academy
Comment:Clewiston and Glades Central are the top two teams in this district after Clewiston was shifted to this district from District 6. Both teams will battle it out for the district championship and it could be very, very close. University School which made a change with its mascot and school colors this offseason, should be improved despite a new head coach with Somerset Academy rounding out the district.
District 4A-8
1. Booker T. Washington
2. Gulliver Prep
3. Monsignor Pace
4. Miami Edison
5. Keys Gate Charter
Comment: Booker T. Washington will likely win this district again, but will find it hard to go undefeated during the regular season. Gulliver Prep and Monsignor Pace will be looking hard to knock Booker T. Washington off the district champions throne and this could be their best chance to do so in nearly five years. Miami Edison will find it hard to rise up to the top of the district while Keys Gate Charter joins the district for the first time and will find it a tough challenge.
