Comment: Won season opener in convincing fashion over 8A Douglas.

2. Apopka, 1-0, 2
Comment: No surprise in the drubbing of 7A Ocoee to start the season.

3. Osceola (Kissimmee), 1-0, 3
Comment: Only gave up 10 points to 7A Bartow that reached the playoffs last season.

4. Columbus, 1-0, 4
Comment: Might have taken 48-hours to finish the game against 5A Miami Jackson, but Explorers off to good start.

5. Dr. Phillips, 1-0, 5
Comment: Blanked 8A Wekiva to start off the season on the right note.

6. West Orange, 1-0, 7
Comment: No shock value to winning against 2A Foundation Academy to open the season.

7. Vero Beach, 1-0, 8
Comment: Bounced back from kickoff classic loss to shut out 8A Santaluces.

8. Manatee, 0-1, 6
Comment: Rough start for the Hurricanes at Hoover, Alabama. Needs to rebound this week against rival 7A Palmetto.

9. South Dade, 1-0, 9
Comment: Buccaneers high powered offense is back once again with a win over 8A Coral Reef.

10. Atlantic (Delray), 1-0, NR
Comment: Torched the former 8A regional finalist in Wellington to earn their first 8A Top 10 ranking from us this season.

Dropped Out: Lake Mary, 0-1, 10 – The reason for bumping Lake Mary out was that a young defense showed problems against 4A Bolles and it could be an issue for the Rams later on in the season.
