Class 4A Top 5
1. Cocoa, 3–1, 1
Week 4: Defeated Lake Highland Prep, 48-6
This Week: vs. Viera
Comment: Cocoa bounced back this week as they rolled over Lake Highland Prep in the district opener. Tigers will take on Viera for the first time in over five years in a show down of two of Brevard County’s best teams.
2. Bolles, 4-0, 2
Week 4: Defeated Andrew Jackson, 42-6
This Week: at Deerfield Beach
Comment: Bolles got the district portion of the season off to a good start with a win over Andrew Jackson. Will make the road trip to South Florida this week to take on Deerfield Beach.
3. Raines, 4-0, 3
Week 4: Defeated Fernandina Beach, 53-0
This Week: vs. Wolfson
Comment: The Vikings rolled over Fernandina Beach easily last week, posting their third shutout in four games. Raines should find it fairly easy against Wolfson this week, a team that lost 70-0 last week to Ponte Vedra.
4. Clewiston, 2-1, 4
Week 4: Idle
This Week: at Pahokee
Comment: With Pahokee on the schedule this year for Clewiston, their will be a true champion of the Muck-area teams for the first time in years as both teams will see Glades Central later on this year.
5. South Sumter, 4-0, 5
Week 4: Defeated Umatilla, 41-21
This Week: vs. Trinity Catholic
Comment: The Raiders had a slow start last week, but quickly got the win against Umatilla that puts them at the top of the district. This they will face Trinity Catholic for the first time since 2010, but it might not be the matchup everyone was expecting back in the summer.
