It is all about the opportunities when wanting to play at the next level.
And the Orange Bowl is about to do just that for high school seniors in Florida this February.
Announced yesterday, the Orange Bowl announced they will be hosting the first Orange Bowl Florida High School Football Showcase on February 25 at Nova Southeastern University.
The free event will allow seniors who participate to get a chance to get in front of college coaches of NCAA Division II, III, and NAIA programs from around the country to show off their skills. Seniors participating must not have accepted a Divison I scholarship offer prior to the showcase.
Seniors who participate are required to have a 2.3 GPA or higher in the 16 core courses as required by the NCAA as well as have a SAT score of 820 (math and verbal only) on old format exams or an SAT score of 900 (math and verbal only) on the new format or an ACT sum score of 68 or higher.
The showcase will run from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the day of the event.
