BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — No. 3 Seminole Ridge dominated Dillard 39-0 Friday in the opening round of the JDCH Bracket at the Inaugural Broward County Girls Flag Football Classic opener, improving to 2-0 on the season while handing the Panthers their second consecutive loss.
Aubrey Fogel was efficient and dangerous under center for the Hawks, completing 14-of-20 passes for 208 yards and five touchdowns. The junior quarterback posted a 143.3 passer rating and did not throw an interception. Maeson Frost added 34 yards on 6-of-13 passing with a touchdown to round out the Hawks’ aerial attack.
Kylin Chieffalo led all receivers with five catches for 64 yards and two touchdowns. Avaree Brant made her presence felt with two receptions for 80 yards and a score, including a 51-yard reception that stood as the game’s longest play. Jazlyn Ruiz hauled in five catches for 24 yards and a touchdown, while Chachi Saunders added a 23-yard touchdown reception. Samantha Musgrave contributed four catches for 45 yards.
Seminole Ridge’s defense was equally dominant, recording four interceptions and surrendering zero points. Saunders was a force on both sides of the ball, picking off three passes and returning them for 26 yards. Ava Dowdell added an interception of her own, returning it 4 yards. Ja’Niah Tejeda recovered a fumble to cap a complete defensive performance.
Dillard falls to 0-2 on the season.
