District 13-8A:
While this district may not lead Miami-Dade County in talent, it does lead in parity. With little surprise all four teams have the same district record at 1-1. Going into the final district games next week, these are the following scenarios.
North Miami Beach will make the playoffs with a win over North Miami and will win the district if Krop beats Hialeah.
North Miami will make the playoffs with a win over North Miami Beach and will win the district if Hialeah beats Krop.
Hialeah will make the playoffs with a win over Krop and will win the district if North Miami Beach beats North Miami.
Krop will make the playoffs with a win over Hialeah and will win the district if North Miami beats North Miami Beach.
District 14-8A:
This is the district where there is one clear dominant team, where there are several schools which can assume the runner up role. These are the following scenarios:
Columbus is the district champion.
Coral Gables will make the playoffs with a win over Miami High.
Miami High will make the playoffs with a win over Coral Gables and South Miami.
South Miami will force a district tiebreaker with a win over Miami High, and a Miami High win over Coral Gables.
Coral Park is eliminated from playoff consideration.
District 15-8A:
This district also has similar teams which could lead the district. These are the following scenarios
Southwest has made the playoffs and will win the district with a win over Varela.
Varela has made the playoffs and will win the district with a win over Southwest.
Ferguson, Braddock and Sunset are eliminated from playoff consideration.
District 16-8A:
This district is the most balanced of the four Miami-Dade County districts in terms of talent.
South Dade is the district champion.
Killian is the district runner-up.
Palmetto, Coral Reef and Southridge are eliminated from playoff consideration.
