– WR Jerron Rollins, Sr., Columbus – Had 6 receptions for 85 yards and four touchdowns in Columbus’ 38-25 win over Miami Jackson that spanned over three days and two stadium sites.
MIAMI-DADE & KEYS COACH OF THE WEEK
– Juan Torres, Braddock – Torres claimed his first win as head coach and first win of the season for Braddock to open up the 2015 season. Braddock defeated, North Miami Beach by a score of 27 to 16.
OTHER PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATIONS
– QB Alex Ros, Sr., Columbus – 13-22 passing for 174 yards and four touchdowns that were all caught by WR Jerron Rollins in Columbus’ 38-25 win over Miami Jackson.
– RB Alex Victory, Braddock – 129 yards rushing on just seven carries and two touchdowns in Braddock’s 27-16 win over North Miami Beach.
– ATH Kevin Romer, Coal Gables – Scored both touchdowns for Coral Gables’ win 14-12 win over Miami Carol City with a touchdown reception of 80-yards and a returning a kickoff for 89 yards.
– QB Tu Tu Atwell, Miami Northwestern – Went 12 of 17 in passing for 179 yards and one touchdown in Northwestern’s 18-8 win over American.
– RB Darren Jones Jr, Westminster Christian – Rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns as well as returning a kickoff for 70 yards in Westminster’s crushing 75-12 win over Champagnat.
– ATH Keyshawn “Pie” Young, Miami High – Had 37 yards rushing, 27 receiving yards on two catches in Miami High’s 35-14 win over North Miami.
– QB Drakar Jerry, Miami Edison – Went 10 of 17 for 130 yards and three touchdowns in Miami Southridge’s 19-0 win over Miami Edison
– WR Dedric Luton, Homestead – Had five catches for 144 yards and two touchdowns in Homestead’s 30-19 win over Ferguson.
– QB Jacquante Pitts, Dr. Krop – 9 of 12 passing for 119 yards and two touchdown in Dr. Krop’s 34-0 shutout of Mourning.
– RB Delano Morgan, Varela – Rushed for 156 yards and four touchdown on 12 carries while also scoring on an 85-yard kickoff return in Varela’s thrilling 38-23 overtime victory against South Miami.
– RB Jamar Thompkins, South Miami – 31 carries for 159 yards rushing and two touchdowns in a 38-32 overtime loss to Varela.
– WR Gonzalo Pierla, Reagan – 5 receptions for 121 yards receiving and two touchdowns in a tough 20-14 loss to Miami Beach.
– WR Randle Jones, Miami Beach – Returned opening kickoff for 94 yards and a touchdown and caught the game winning 40-yard touchdown reception in Miami Beach’s 20-14 win over Reagan.
– RB Jawon Hamilton, South Dade – 128 yards rushing on 12 carries and scored two touchdowns in South Dade’s 40-24 win over Coral Reef.
– RB Jordan Donaldson, Coral Reef – Was a bright spot for Coral Reef’s 40-24 loss to South Dade by rushing for 125 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.
– RB Malik Shannon, Hialeah-Miami Lakes – 18 carries for 114 yards rushing and two touchdowns in win 12-7 win over Monsignor Pace.
