Here is the Florida HS Football Media Poll – Large Schools Division, Week 2 Rankings
Key: LS – Large Schools; SS – Small Schools | First Place votes in parenthesis 

miamicentralhelmet 1. Miami Central Rockets | Record: 1-0 | Points: 380 (19) | Previous: 1
Won big against American Heritage (Plantation) and Sony Michele last week, 42-20. Now they get ready for the biggest game of the year!
THIS WEEK: vs. SS #1 Booker T. Washington
aquinashelmet 2. St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders | Record: 1-0 | Points: 360 | Previous: 2
In their first ever meeting against previously ranked Miami Northwestern, the Raiders looked just as good as they were last year.
THIS WEEK: Bye Week
manateehelmet 3. Manatee Hurricanes | Record: 1-0 | Points: 335 | Previous: 4
The Hurricanes went on the road and defeated a nationally ranked Gilman team in a convincing fashion 44-14.
THIS WEEK: vs. Venice
apopkahelmet 4. Apopka Blue Darters | Record: 1-1 | Points: 297 | Previous: 3
The Blue Darters had a rough start to the season at Byrnes, SC, but bounced back in Week 1 against Oak Ridge to keep them towards the top of the poll.

Due to GHSA rules, Plant and Sandy Creek, GA ended in a tie as the curfew rule kicked in with only 2 minutes left.

Shutout Timber Creek 35-0 last week making it hard to believe that this Dr. Phillips team is a lot younger than last year’s squad.

dwyerhelmet 7. Dwyer Panthers | Record: 1-0 | Points: 241 | Previous: 9
Dwyer slammed a usually tough Glades Central team that was ranked previously #14 in the Small Schools Division of the Media Poll, 35-0.
THIS WEEK: vs. Jupiter
lincolnhelmet 8. Lincoln Trojans | Record: 2-0 | Points: 207 | Previous: 14
The Trojans have started the season with a bang with two wins over South Gwinnett, GA and Pensacola, but now face a big challenge against Columbia this week.
THIS WEEK: vs. LS #13 Columbia
armwoodhelmet 9. Armwood Hawks | Record: 1-0 | Points: 201 | Previous: 12
The Hawks played knock out on Durant 48-6 to open the season and will start district play this week in the nine team, District 6A-8
THIS WEEK: vs. Blake
godbyhelmet 10. Godby Cougars | Record: 0-1 | Points: 199 | Previous: 5
Godby faced a tall task against a very strong and nationally ranked DeMatha team. They will now prepare to get win #1 this week against Chiles.

eastlakehelmet 11. East Lake Eagles | Record: 1-0 | Points: 145 | Previous: 12
The Eagles blew out Palm Harbor University Week 1 and will now face a challenge game against Largo this week.
THIS WEEK: @ LS #18 Largo
cypressbayhelmet 12. Cypress Bay Lightning | Record 0-0 | Points: 130 | Previous: 11
The Lightning was off for Week 1 and will face Boyd Anderson this week, but their head coach will not be on the sideline due to suspension.

Columbia is the biggest mover this week after winning big in a lightning delayed storm over the 2012 Class 6A State Runner-up and previously ranked LS #7 Gainesville, 49-7

firstcoasthelmet 14. First Coast Buccaneers | Record: 1-0 | Points: 124 | Previous: 10
Despite winning against Ribault to open the season, the margin was close and it cost the Buccaneers a few spots in the poll.

oviedohelmet 15. Oviedo Lions | Record: 1-0 | Points: 118 | Previous: 15
Oviedo open the season with a 27-13 win over an improving Lyman team and will play Winter Springs this week, a team that was shut out by Seminole (Sanford).

osceolahelmet 16. Osceola Kowboys (Kissimmee) | Record: 1-0 | Points: 102 | Previous: 17
Osceola won big over Freedom (Orlando) to start the season and will face a Lake Mary team that put up over 50 points last week in its season opener.

miamijacksonhelmet 17. Miami Jackson Generals | Record: 1-0 | Points: 89 | Previous: 18
The Generals ran rough shot over North Miami Beach last week in a 38-21 win to get the season going and will take the week off to prepare for Miami Norland.

largohelmet 18. Largo Packers | Record: 1-0 | Points: 50 | Previous: NR
Shutout Northeast (St. Petersburg) 46-0 to start the season and now faces a very talented East Lake team in Week 2.

Another team that forced a shutout last week. Lake Gibson gets the season going strong and will now face Bartow this week that put up over 40 points.
