NEW PORT RICHEY | Jay Fulmer, who was last seen at Gulf High School in 2010, will be able to return to the sidelines in 2012 as a coach in the Pasco County School District, a year earlier than expected, the Tampa Bay Times has reported.
Fulmer, who resigned prior to the start of the 2010 season, was suspended for having contact with two Holiday Anclote players before they had enrolled at Gulf.
As result of the contact, Fulmer was suspended indefidently by the School Board, but was later handed down a three-year suspension from coach and was demoted down to teaching elementary physical education.
With the suspension being lifted that will allow Fulmer to apply for any coaching position in Pasco County.
Fulmer has already inquired about the open coaching position at Hudson and would love to coach his son’s final year this fall, he told the Times.
