Delray Beach American Heritage OL Roderick Johnson commits to Florida
As reported yesterday on our Twitter account, offensive lineman Roderick Johnson from Delray Beach American Heritage verbally pledged his service to the Florida Gators. The Palm Beach Post reports that Johnson was a key player in American Heritage’s Class 3A state championship team this past season where they defeated Madison County in Orlando. Naples Barron Collier down to two finalists
The two finalist are in for the Barron Collier job with a decision to be made later today with an official hire come tomorrow, the Naples Daily News has reported. The two finalists are former Cape Coral, Frostproof and Winter Haven head coach Brad Metheny and current Barron Collier assistant Daniel Pallante. Both coaches have extensive backgrounds and out of 7 finalists were among the four who accepted the invitations to come to Naples for an interview in front of a 10 person committee. Mark Richt and Aquan Boldin just a few of the names to inducted into the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame
Georgia Bulldogs head coach Mark Richt and Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Anquan Boldin are among several other notable football players that that were inducted into the Palm Beach County Sports Hall of Fame, the Palm Beach Post has reported.
Boldin who is a 1999 graduate of Pahokee in Western Palm Beach County and played college ball for Florida State, has been note worthy of his causes on and off the field over the last decade including holding the annual Q-Fest to raise money for Pahokee and having a new football stadium built for the school just a few years ago. Richt, who has coached at the University of Georgia was also inducted into the Hall of Fame. Richt played his high school ball at Boca Raton and still has ties to the area.

Tampa Wharton QB Chase Litton gets his first offer from LSU
Litton who is one of the top Class of 2014 prospects in the Tampa Bay area received his first offer from LSU, Tampa Bay Times has reported. Tampa Catholic DL commits to New Mexico Military Institute
The Tampa Bay Times has reported that defensive lineman Taylor Timmons had committed to New Mexico Military Institute. He lead the team with 62 tackles and 8 sacks during the Crusaders 6-4 season. You can read more by clicking here.
