Miami Hurricanes…yes those Miami Hurricane to scrimmage at Fort Myers Bishop Verot
Spring football has already been in action for college football and the Miami Hurricanes are taking a practice scrimmage right to the fans in Southwest Florida. The Fort Myers News-Press story states that, Al Golden. who has rotated scrimmages to different sites since becoming the head coach last year. wanted to come to Southwest Florida and to bring and have the Miami brand honored in that part of the state. He also mentioned that it is going to be big for recruiting purposes. It also has been reported that local area high school teams plan to bring busloads of players to watch the scrimmage which takes place tomorrow night at Bishop Verot High. Chipoletti to follow father to Oakleaf
The Gainesville Sun has reported that Austin Chipoletti will be following his father Derek over to Orange Park Oakleaf for his senior season, after playing the past two seasons at Starke Bradford. Neil Chipoletti, Austin’s grandfather, who is the athletic director at Starke Bradford informed the Sun of the news.
Two Polk County players get offers
More offers are rolling for two Polk County players, the Lakeland Ledger has reported. Lakeland Lake Gibson wide receiver Eric Carter has received offers from new SEC school Missouri and from Ball State University.
