University School’s first game of the season to be broadcast on ESPN

Former Port Charlotte standout signs with Green Bay Packers
The Sarasota Herald-Tribune has reported that former Port Charlotte standout Anthony Hargrove has signed with the Green Bay Packers after playing with the Seattle Seahawks last season. The report indicated that he will primarily be used as an inside pass rusher. Hargrove has had other stops with various NFL teams including the New Orleans Saints, Buffalo Bills and St. Louis Rams. Timber Creek’s leading rusher from the Class 8A Region I finalist team this past season has finally found his next home to continue his football playing career. Stetson lands former Jupiter Christian standout
Taking the prep route out of high school sometimes is a move that will pay dividends later. The Palm Beach Post has reported that Ryan Powers has signed a letter of intent to play for the Stetson Hatters. Stetson will be relaunching its football program this fall after a long hiatus spanning over 4 decades.
