The Maxwell Football Club released the Maxwell Award watch list today as part of a group of college football awards watch lists to be released over the next couple of weeks. The Bednairk Award is awarded annually to the best collegiate football player, offensively , in the country after being judge by the Maxwell Football Club.
The Maxwell Award is named after Robert W. Maxwell, who played college football, was a coach and a sportswriter.
These eight former Florida HS Football players made the watch list and should be commended for their efforts on the field and getting recognized for it.

- QB Teddy Bridgewater / Miami Northwestern / Louisville
- RB Onterio McCalebb / Fort Meade / Auburn
- QB Aaron Murray / Plant / Georgia
- RB Branden Oliver / Miami Southridge / Buffalo
- QB Denard Robinson / Deerfield Beach / Michigan
- QB Geno Smith / Miramar / West Virginia
- WR Sammy Watkins / South Fort Myers / Clemson
EDITOR’S NOTE: Former Florida Gator and Ponte Vedra Nease QB Tim Tebow is only one of two players to have ever won the Maxwell Award twice and the only one from the state of Florida to win the award twice.
