The Davey O’Brien Foundation in conjunction with the National College Football Awards Association released the Davey O’Brien Award watch list today as national trophy and awards watch lists continue to be released during the month of July. The Davey O’Brien Award is awarded annually to the best quarterback in collegiate football in the country.
The Davey O’Brien Award is named in honor of the quarterback who was true sports hero at the high school, college and professional levels, the Davey O’Brien Award website states. The award has been given out since 1977.
These six Florida HS Football alumni made the watch list and should be commended for their efforts on the field and getting recognized for it.
