When: Friday October 5, 2012
Week: Week #5
Where: Bartram Trail’s Bears Stadium
Districts: Atlantic Coast & Bartram Trail | 4-6A
Why: This district showdown might not have been much last year as Atlantic Coast was entering its first season of district play and second year overall as a program, but the win total they have notched over the last two years – 13 to be exact – is something everyone should be aware of. Atlantic Coast head coach Kevin Sullivan is a proven winner and would like to take his second Jacksonville area school to the playoffs (his first was with Andrew Jackson). With Bartram Trail they are looking to repeat a successful campaign, where they went all the way to the state semifinals despite being the district runner-up and Coach Darrell Sutherland looking to make that a reality again. Overall, look for both of these to come in hungry and try to take an early lead on a district race that will be tight again along with St. Augustine.
