Wharton’s Vernon Hargreaves has walked away with another award that he will take with him to Gainesville as a Florida commit, Katherine Smith of Bright House Sports Network reports.
Hargreaves was announced the 2013 Guy Toph Award winner this morning by the Hillsborough County School District, which goes to the top overall football player of the year in Hillsborough County.
Coming off two seasons where he lead Wharton to back-to-back playoff appearances, Hargreaves was an Under Armour All-American selection for the Class of 2013 and backed up his play after being nationally ranked by many national publications including ESPN.
Hargreaves was also one of two MVP’s at the 2013 Under Armour All-America Game that was held in St. Petersburg back on January 4.
