Expect this list to change one more time right before National Signing Day, which will include information from the 2013 season.
Here are players 121-130 on the Florida HS Football Top 150.
121. CB Deion Hallmon | 6’0 | 175 | Cypress Bay |
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided |
Hallmon showed why he is one of the top prospects in the state during the Class 8A state championship game that became an instant classic. As of recently Hallmon has been leaning towards Wisconsin, but has many more offers on the table. |
122. DE Kevin Bronson | 6’4 | 233 | Village Academy |
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided |
Rutgers among many others is looking to land Bronson, who worked hard to put Village Academy in the playoffs for the first time in school history. Now Bronson looks to add on to the list of Division I prospects that will come from this small Palm Beach public school. |
123. OG Gary Brown | 6’3 | 275 | Alonso |
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided |
Brown has been impressing college scouts across the country and some have made rapid-fire moves to offer Brown. Look for Brown to help put Alonso back into the playoffs this season. |
124. WR C.J. Worton | 5’11 | 180 | South Dade |
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Florida State |
Worton was explosive last year in helping lead the Buccaneers to a district championship after missing the playoffs altogether in 2011. Worton is just one part of a trio of wide receivers that should keep South Dade in the playoff picture. |
125. CB Juwan Dowels | 5’10 | 160 | American Heritage (Plantation) |
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Northern Illinois |
Dowels, who spent last season at Western in Davie is now taking his talents to one of the top Class 5A teams in the state at American Heritage in Plantation. Dowels should help bolster a defensive backfield that looks to help get the Patriots in prime position to make a playoff run this season. |
126. OT Delroy Baker | 6’6 | 275 | West Port |
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Indiana |
Baker will be the leader of a strong offensive line unit this season for the Wolf Pack team that will have a new head coach. West Port moves up from Class 7A to 8A and will face some stiff competition from teams like First Coast and Sandalwood. |
127. OT Marcus Applefield | 6’7 | 275 | Weeki Wachee |
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided |
Last year was the first full year of a varsity program at Weeki Wachee. Applefield not only made a name for himself, but for the school in a town more known for Mermaids than high school football. He has been drawing attention from a variety of Division I schools, but an explosive season should help raise stock considerably. |
128. S Randy Ramsey | 6’2 | 205 | Dilliard |
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided |
Ramsey is a hidden gem among some of the more elite propspects in the state and with the district appearing favorable after a solid season last year, Ramsey could turn more heads and raise stock and thus leading to bigger offers. |
129. WR Clint Stephens | 5’10 | 171 | Dwyer |
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided |
Stephens is another gem that is starting to turn some attention in and was a big contributor to keeping Dwyer’s playoff streak alive last season. Stephens is holding offers from Miami (FL) and West Virginia, but more should be coming as the season gets in to full swing. |
130. DE Rashawn Shaw | 6’2 | 225 | Fort Pierce Central |
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Louisville |
Shaw was an integral part of the Cobras strong defense last season and he will anchor the defensive line once again in a district that is very favorable. If Shaw holds true to his commitment to Louisville, the next chapter of his football career could be special. |
