2014-131-140-slider

We are counting down the top 150 players in the state as researched, analyzed and complied by FloridaHSFootball.com staff members. While rankings are always subjective and players move up and down the charts, this list is meant to show you the fans who are some of the best players are in the state to keep a solid eye on this season and to see where they might head for their college career. Expect this list to change one more time right before National Signing Day, which will include information from the 2013 season.

Here are players 131-140 on the Florida HS Football Top 150.

131. Joshua Hicks | 5’11 | 185 | Palmetto
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Rutgers
Hicks has been the leading rusher for the Tigers the last few years and will be relied upon to carry the load once again this year. His abilities to get down the field quickly should not be underestimated.
132. Tyre McCants | 5’11 | 202 | Niceville
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided
McCants has been developing into an explosive wide receiver and could have a big season on his hands as Niceville looks poised to do some big things.
133. RB Jonathan Vickers | 5’11 | 205 | North Florida Christain
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided
Vickers is an explosive running back and will be the difference maker to getting North Florida Christian back in state title contention again this season.
134. WR Chris Taylor | 6’2 | 173 | University School
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Duke
After helping his team win their first state championship in school history, Taylor will be one of the key leaders to help the Suns navigate what could be one of the toughest schedules in the country this season.
135. OC A’lique Terry | 6’2 | 285 | Hialeah
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided
Terry is just one of several Hialeah prospects that is getting a lot of attention and he will certainly be called upon to help protect quarterback Alin Edouard this season.
136. CB John Battle | 6’0 | 165 | Hallandale
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: LSU
Battle is a verstalie player who can play both cornerback and safety. Expect him to have a huge senior year and help Hallandale navigate through a huge district schedule this season.
137. S Tajze Battle | 5’11 | 170 | Dunbar
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided
Tajze Battle has been a huge contributor to Dunbar’s winning ways and he should continue to produce as his team moves up into a Class 5A district with other Lee County schools.
138. WR Lawerence Lee | 5’10 | 165 | West Florida Tech
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided
Llee just recently became the second Missouri commit from his team in recent days. Overall, though Lee has been a huge contributor at his position for his team, that has won its district two years in a row and could do so again this year.
139. DT Edgar Cerenord | 6’2 | 295 | American Heritage (Plantation)
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided
Cerenord has been rising up the charts and has been participating in several camps this summer. Right now, according to 247Sports.com, Cerenord is favoriting Arkansas, an SEC program that is in serious need of some solid players like Cerenord.
140. OLB Xavier Preston | 6’2 | 215 | Jensen Beach
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided
Jensen Beach is still a fairly new school by age standards, but Preston could be the first major Division I prospect to sign out of the program after having a huge junior year in contributing to the Falcons first playoff berth in school history.
