2014-71-80-slider

We are counting down the top 150 players in the state as researched, analyzed and complied by FloridaHSFootball.com staff members. While rankings are always subjective and players move up and down the charts, this list is meant to show you the fans who are some of the best players are in the state to keep a solid eye on this season and to see where they might head for their college career. Expect this list to change one more time right before National Signing Day, which will include information from the 2013 season.

Here are players 71-80 on the Florida HS Football Top 150.

71. Jimm Bayes | 6’3 | 180 | Immokalee
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: South Florida
Bayes has strong physical atributes which is just one reason he is on this list and another reason helped Immokalee reach the 2012 5A state championship game.
72. CB Amani Oruwariye | 6’1 | 180 | Gaither
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided
Oruwariye has been emerging at his position and helped push Gaither into the playoffs last season as a district champion.
73. WR Nat Dixon | 6’4 | 175 | Mosley
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided
Dixon who is a multi-sport athlete has shown he has great hands and what it takes to get down field and could have a chance to make a bigger impact this season with some new foundation blocks being installed with the Mosley program.
74. OG Josh Allen | 6’3 | 290 | University Christian
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: North Carolina
Allen was very instruamental in University Christian’s run to the Class 2A state title, where he helped Tim Betros in being a major threat both through the air and on the ground. Allen could have another huge year in helping to get the Christians back to the state title game.
75. OLB Vincent Jackson | 6’2 | 235 | Jesuit
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided
Jackson who racked up 13 sacks during the 2012 season has been drawing major attention this offseason and his senior year could be his best season yet.
76. CB Stepheny Durham IV | 5’11 | 185 | Atlantic Coast
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Georgia Tech
Durham has helped Atlantic Coast become a sleeping giant and proved to be a big help by keeping Atlantic Coast in the playoff until the very final week of district play. This season could have history written on for Durham and his team.
77. CB Duke Dawson | 5’11 | 197 | Dixie County
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Florida
Dawson has shown why he is going to be staying close to home with athleticism on the field. Dixie County is in a tough district in Class 1A and having Dawson ready to attack any pass thrown in his direction from opposing offenses could be the difference maker this year.
78. WR Jacob McCrary | 6’1 | 170 | Coral Reef
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: West Virginia
McCrary was a big factor in helping keep Coral Reef competitive last season and he will do it again this year as he will be one of the main targets of QB Nico Pierre. This combo right here could help boost Coral Reef into the playoffs this year.
79. S Marquese Dudley-Gordon | 6’1 | 190 | Cypress Bay
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Undecided
After showing a strong performance all season long last year Dudley-Gordon will be one of the senior leaders this year. Dudley-Gordon has Pittsburg pegged as his favorite offer right now, according to 247Sports.com
80. OT Kavaris Harkless | 6’5 | 273 | Trinity Christian (Jacksonville
COLLEGE COMMITMENT: Louisville
Harkless has been called a prototype tackle and is working to build more weight up to get to the level needed. With great feet and the ability to be aggressive, he should be able to help Trinity Christian be a 3A state title contender.
