LAKE CITY – With the regular season just two weeks away from coming to a close for 2013, it is becoming a lot clearer just who is really hungry to make a run into the playoffs and who will be fighting through a crowd to make it there this week.
In this week’s Florida HS Football Media Poll, some changes were made, as some teams moved up or down depending on what our panel of votes though, but the top teams continue to remain being Miami Central, in the Large Schools Division poll and Booker T. Washington in the Small Schools Division poll.
For this week, both Ed White and Mainland enter the Florida HS Football Media Poll – Large Schools Division for the first time this season. The Commanders of Ed White checked in at No. 19 while the Buccaneers of Mainland check in at No. 20
In the Small Schools Division of the Media Poll, University School dropped one spot after its close 28-24 loss to Manatee, a game in which they held a 21-0 lead one point during its duration.
Two new teams enter the rankings in the Small Schools Division, one of which is returning having been ranked earlier in the season. Frostproof checks in at No. 18 after a convincing 20-14 win over Fort Meade to secure the District Runner-up spot in District 3A-4. Clewiston won nicely over previously ranked Glades Day and will be playing LaBelle this week for the District Title in District 4A-6.
