PLAYOFF WATCH: Class 1A scenarios for Week 10

Here is a complete list of clinching and elimination scenarios for Week 10  (Oct 30-Nov 2).

Details on how tiebreakers work will come later this week and in to the weekend as known tiebreaker games are posted.

DISTRICT 1A-1
District Championship Game
Baker (8-0, 2-0) at Northview (3-4, 2-0) – Winner is District Champion, loser is Runner-up.

DISTRICT 1A-2
Vernon (5-3, 3-0)  – Can clinch District Championship with win over Sneads OR Can clinch District Runner-up with loss to Sneads AND Cottondale loss to Graceville.
Cottondale (2-1, 2-1) – Can clinch District Runner-up with win over Graceville AND Sneads loss to Vernon OR Can be eliminated with loss to Graceville AND Sneads win over Vernon.
Sneads (4-3, 2-1) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Vernon AND Cottondale loss to Graceville OR Can be eliminated with loss to Vernon AND Graceville loss to Cottondale.
Graceville (4-4, 1-2)  – Can be eliminated with loss to Graceville OR with Sneads win over Vernon.

TIEBREAKER SCENARIO #1: A three-way tie for first place can happen if Sneads wins over Vernon and Cottondale wins over Graceville. In this scenario Cottondale, Sneads and Veron would be tied 3-1 and forcing a tiebreaker shootout. Sneads would host the shootout and would take the #1 seed. Cottondale would take the #2 seed while Vernon would be seeded #3. This would settle both the District Champion and Runner-up spots.

TIEBREAKER SCENARIO #2: A three-way tie for second place can happen if Sneads loses to Vernon and Graceville wins over Cottondale. In this scenario Graceville, Sneads and Cottondale would all be tied 2-2 and would force a tiebreaker shootout. Graceville which would have the best overall record would host and get the #1 seed. Cottondale would take the #2 seed while Sneads would be seeded #3. This would settle the District Runner-up spot.

DISTRICT 1A-3
Champion: Blountstown
South Walton (6-2, 2-1) – Can clinch District Runner-up with win over Bozeman OR Can be eliminated with loss to Bozeman AND Chipley loss to Holmes County.
Bozeman (1-7, 1-2) – Can clinch District Runner-up with win over South Walton AND Chipley loss to Holmes County OR Can be with loss to South Walton.
Chipley (5-3, 1-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Holmes County OR Can be eliminated with South Walton win over Bozeman.

TIEBREAKER SCENARIO: A three-way tie for second place can happen if South Walton loses to Bozeman and Chipley wins over Holmes County. In this scenario South Walton, Chipley and Bozeman would all be tied 2-2 and would force a tiebreaker shootout. South Walton which would have the best overall record would host and get the #1 seed. Chipley would take the #2 seed while Bozeman would be seeded #3. This would settle the District Runner-up spot.

DISTRICT 1A-4
District Championship Game
Liberty County (7-1, 2-0) at Port St. Joe (6-2, 2-0) – Winner is District Champion, loser is Runner-up.

DISTRICT 1A-5
Hamilton County (3-4, 2-0) 
– Can clinch District Championship with win over Jefferson County OR Can clinch District Runner-up with loss to Jefferson County AND Lafayette loss to Branford.
Lafayette (6-1, 1-1) – Can clinch District Runner-up with win over Branford AND Hamilton County win over Jefferson County OR Can be eliminated with loss to Branford AND Jefferson County win over Hamilton County.
Jefferson County (1-6, 1-1) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Hamilton County AND Lafayette loss to Branford OR Can be eliminated with loss to Hamilton County AND Lafayette win over Branford.
Branford (3-5, 0-2)  – Can be eliminated with loss to Lafayette OR Jefferson County win over Hamilton County.

TIEBREAKER SCENARIO #1: A three-way tie for first place can happen if Jefferson County wins over Hamilton County and Lafayette wins over Branford. In this scenario Lafayette, Hamilton County and Jefferson County would be tied 2-1 and forcing a tiebreaker shootout. Lafayette would host the shootout and would take the #1 seed. Hamilton County would take the #2 seed while Jefferson County would be seeded #3. This would settle both the District Champion and Runner-up spots.

TIEBREAKER SCENARIO #2: A three-way tie for second place can happen if Jefferson County loses to Hamilton County and Branford wins over Lafayette. In this scenario Lafayette, Branford and Jefferson County would all be tied 1-2 and would force a tiebreaker shootout. Lafayette which would have the best overall record would host and get the #1 seed. Hamilton County would take the #2 seed while Jefferson County would be seeded #3. This would settle the District Runner-up spot.

DISTRICT 1A-6
Champion: Trenton
Bell (6-2, 2-1) – Can clinch District Runner-up with win over Hawthrone.
Hilliard (5-3, 2-2) – Can be eliminated with Bell win over Hawthorne.
Hawthorne (2-5, 1-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Bell.

TIEBREAKER SCENARIO: A three-way tie for second place can happen if Bell loses to Hawthorne. In this scenario Bell, Hilliard and Hawthorne would all be tied 2-2 and would force a tiebreaker shootout. Bell which would have the best overall record would host and get the #1 seed. Hilliard would take the #2 seed while Hawthorne would be seeded #3. This would settle the District Runner-up spot.

DISTRICT 1A-7
Dixie County (6-0, 3-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Chiefland OR Can clinch District Runner-up with loss to Chiefland AND Union County loss to Williston.
Union County (7-1, 2-1) – Can clinch District Runner-up with win over Williston AND Dixie County win over Chiefland OR Can be eliminated with loss to Williston AND Chiefland win over Dixie County.
Chiefland (6-2, 2-1) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Dixie County AND Union County loss to Williston OR Can be eliminated with loss to Dixie County.

TIEBREAKER SCENARIO: A three-way tie for first place can happen if Chiefland wins over Dixie County and Union County wins over Williston. In this scenario Dixie County, Union County and Chiefland would be tied 3-1 and forcing a tiebreaker shootout. Union County would host the shootout as it would have the best overall record and would take the #1 seed. Dixie County would take the #2 seed while Chiefland would be seeded #3. This would settle both the District Champion and Runner-up spots.

DISTRICT 1A-8
Crescent City (5-3, 1-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Taylor (Pierson).
Wildwood (2-6, 1-1) – Can clinch District Runner-up with Crescent City win over Taylor (Pierson).
Taylor (Pierson) (2-5, 0-1) – Can be eliminated with loss to Crescent City.

TIEBREAKER SCENARIO: A three-way tie could happen if Taylor wins over Crescent City. In this situation no one would have the clear-cut wins to decided the district and thus would force a shootout. Crescent City which has the best overall record would host the shootout and take the #1 seed. Wildwood and Taylor would take the #2 & #3 seeds depending on outcome of this week’s games.
