PLAYOFF WATCH: Class 5A scenarios for Week 10

Here is a complete list of clinching and elimination scenarios for Week 10  (Oct 30-Nov 2).

Details on how tiebreakers work will come later this week and in to the weekend as known tiebreaker games are posted.

DISTRICT 5A-1
District Championship Game 
Pensacola Catholic (9-0, 5-0) at West Florida (8-0, 5-0) 
– Winner is District Champion, loser is Runner-up.

DISTRICT 5A-2
Champion: Godby
District Runner-up Game 
Rickards (6-1, 0-1) at Wakulla (7-1, 0-1) – Winner is Runner-up, loser is eliminated.

DISTRICT 5A-3
Bishop Kenny (7-0, 6-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Baker County OR can clinch District Runner-up with loss to Baker County AND Ribault loss to Wolfson.
Baker County (7-2, 5-1) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Bishop Kenny AND Ribault loss to Wolfson OR can be eliminated with loss to Bishop Kenny AND Ribault win over Wolfson.”
Ribault (6-2, 5-1) – Can clinch District Runner-up with win over Wolfson AND Baker County loss to Bishop Kenny OR Can clinch District Runner-up with loss to Wolfson AND Baker County loss to Bishop Kenny OR can be eliminated with loss to Wolfson AND Baker County win over Bishop Kenny.

TIEBREAKER SCENARIO: A three-way tie for first place can happen if Baker County wins over Bishop Kenny and Ribault wins over Wolfson. In this scenario Bishop Kenny, Baker County and Ribault would all be tied 5-1 and forcing a tiebreaker shootout. Bishop Kenny would host the shootout and would get the #1 overall seed. Ribault would take the #2 seed while Baker County would be seeded #3. This would settle both the District Champion and Runner-up spots.

DISTRICT 5A-4
Clay (5-4, 3-1)
– Can clinch District Championship with Palatka win over Ponte Vedra AND Ridgeview loss to Menendez OR Palatka loss to Ponte Vedra.
Palatka (4-4, 2-1) – Can clinch District Runner-up with win over Ponte Vedra AND Ridgeview loss to Menendez OR Can clinch District Runner-up with loss to Ponte Vedra AND Ridgeview loss to Menendez OR Can be eliminated with loss to Ponte Vedra AND Ridgeview win over Menendez.
Ridgeview (4-4, 2-1) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Menendez AND Palatka loss to Ponte Vedra OR Can be eliminated with loss to Menendez.

TIEBREAKER SCENARIO: A three-way tie for first place can happen if Palatka wins over Ponte Vedra and Ridgeview wins over Menendez. In this scenario all three teams would be tied 3-1. As who would host would have to be determined by the district coordinator as Clay, Palatka and Ridgeview would all be tied in this situation with the same overall record. This would decide both the District Champion and Runner-up.

DISTRICT 5A-5
Suwannee (6-1, 4-1) 
– Can clinch District Championship with win over Crystal River AND North Marion loss to Belleview OR Can clinch District Runner-up with loss to Crystal River AND North Marion win over Belleview AND Eastside loss to Santa Fe OR Can be eliminated with loss to Crystal River AND North Marion win over Belleview AND Eastside win over Santa Fe.
North Marion (6-2, 4-1) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Belleview AND Eastside loss to Santa Fe OR Can clinch District Runner-up with loss to Belleview AND Suwannee loss to Crystal River AND Eastside win over Santa Fe  OR Can be eliminated with loss to Belleview AND Suwannee win over Crystal River AND Eastside win over Santa Fe.
Eastside (4-4, 4-1) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Santa Fe AND Suwannee loss to Crystal River OR Can clinch District Runner-up with loss to Santa Fe AND North Marion loss to Belleview OR can be eliminated with loss to Santa Fe AND North Marion win over Belleview AND Suwannee win over Crystal River.

TIEBREAKER SCENARIO: A three-way tie for first place can happen if Suwannee, North Marion and Eastside all win or if all three lose. If they all win they would be tied 5-1 or if the all lose they would be 4-2. In both cases Suwannee would host the the tiebreaker shootout and would get the #1 seed. North Marion would get the #2 seed and Eastside would be seeded #3. In both cases this would settle the District Champion and Runner-up spots.

DISTRICT 5A-6
Champion: South Sumter
District Runner-up Game
Pasco (5-3, 3-2) at Zephyrhills (7-1, 4-1) – Winner is Runner-up, loser is eliminated.

DISTRICT 5A-7
District Championship Game
Hudson (6-2, 4-0) at Anclote (5-3, 4-0) – Winner is District Champion, loser is Runner-up.

DISTRICT 5A-8
Champion: Lakewood
Tarpon Springs (4-4, 2-1) – Can clinch District Runner-up with win over Boca Ciega.
Boca Ciega (2-6, 1-2) – Can clinch District Runner-up with win over Tarpon Springs AND Gibbs loss to Dunedin OR Can be eliminated with loss to Tarpon Springs.
Gibbs (3-5, 1-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Dunedin OR Can be eliminated with Tarpon Springs win over Boca Ciega.

TIEBREAKER SCENARIO: A three-way tie for second place can happen if Tarpon Springs lose to Boca Ciega and if Gibbs wins over Dunedin. In this scenario Tarpon Springs, Gibbs and Boca Ciega would be 2-2 and force a tiebreaker shootout. Tarpon Springs would be the host and receive the #1 seed with Gibbs taking the #2 seed and Boca Ciega getting the #3 seed. This would settle the District Runner-up spot.

DISTRICT 5A-9
Jesuit (5-3, 1-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Middleton.
Spoto (1-7, 1-1) – Can clinch District Runner-up with Jesuit win over Middleton.
Middleton (2-6, 0-1) – Can be eliminated with loss to Jesuit.

TIEBREAKER SCENARIO: A three-way tie for first place can happen if Middleton wins over Jesuit. In this case Jesuit, Spoto and Middleton would be tied 1-1. Jesuit has the best overall record and would host the tiebreaker shootout and get the #1 seed. Middleton would get the #2 seed while Spoto would be seeded at #3.

DISTRICT 5A-10
Champion: Lake Wales
District Runner-up Game
Auburndale (2-6, 2-1) at Poinciana (4-4, 2-1) – Winner is the Runner-up, loser is eliminated.

DISTRICT 5A-11
Champion:
Bishop Moore
District Runner-up Game
Mount Dora (5-4, 2-1) at Tavares (5-3, 2-1) – Winner is the Runner-up, loser eliminated.

DISTRICT 5A-12
Merritt Island (8-0, 4-0) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Rockledge OR Can clinch District Runner-up with loss to Rockledge AND Palm Bay loss to Satellite.
Palm Bay (6-2, 3-1) – Can clinch District Runner-up with win over Satellite AND Merritt Island win over Rockledge OR Can be eliminated with loss to Satellite AND Rockledge win over Merritt Island.
Rockledge (3-5, 3-1) – Can clinch District Championship with win over Merritt Island AND Palm Bay loss to Satellite OR Can be eliminated with loss to Merritt Island AND Palm Bay win over Rockledge.
Satellite (4-4, 2-2) – Can be eliminated with loss to Palm Bay OR Can be eliminated with Rockledge win over Merritt Island.

TIEBREAKER SCENARIO #1: A three-way tie could happen for first place can happen if Rockledge wins over Merritt Island and Palm Bay wins over Satellite. In this scenario, Merritt Island, Palm Bay and Rockledge would all be tied 4-1 and would force a tiebreaker shootout. Merritt Island has the best overall record and would host as the #1 seed. Palm Bay would get the #2 seed and Rockledge would take the #3 seed. This would settle both the District Champion and Runner-up spots.

TIEBREAKER SCENARIO #2: A three-way tie could happen for second place if Rockledge loses to Merrit Island and Satellite wins over Palm Bay. In this scenario Palm Bay, Rockledge and Satellite would be tied 3-2. Palm Bay would get the #1 seed and host the tiebreaker shootout as it would have the best overall record. Satellite would get the #2 seed while Rockledge would get the #3 seed. This would settle the spot for District Runner-up.

DISTRICT 5A-13
Champion: Hardee
District Runner-up Game
Booker (4-3, 2-1) at Southeast (2-6, 2-1) – Winner is Runner-up, loser is eliminated.

DISTRICT 5A-14
Champion: Island Coast
Runner-up: Dunbar

DISTRICT 5A-15
District Championship Game
Lely (3-5, 1-0) at Immokalee (6-2, 1-0) – Winner is District Champion, loser is Runner-up.

DISTRICT 5A-16
District Championship Game
American Heritage (Plantation) (7-1, 2-0) at Cardinal Gibbons (7-1, 2-0) – Winner is District Champion, loser is Runner-up.
