What a season it was for this district despite the fact that it is only a three-team district. Godby might not have done well to start off like it wanted to in its out-of-state matchup, but the Cougars didn’t lose another game for the rest of the regular season and won nicely against Wakulla, while receiving a formidable challenge from crosstown rival Rickards. However, Rickards was the surprise this year as they found away to not improve the product on the field, but found ways to stay in challenging games, winning most of them. Wakulla, unfortunately had to be the team that got left behind and they were more than worthy of being a team in the playoffs, but just barely lost a close to Rickards that decided the district runner-up spot. However the War Eagles, did win some good games including a nice road win to cap off the season at Gainesville. With the overall 2013 record finishing at 25-6, that is not bad at all.
