It did not take long for the Mount Dora Hurricanes to find their next head coach.
Nor did they have to look outside the school for that coach.
On Friday morning, Ben Bullock was named the head coach for the Hurricanes going into the 2014 season. Bullock was serving as the defensive coordinator under former head coach Chad Grabowski for the past two seasons.
The Mount Dora position came open earlier in February when Grabowski accept the job at Red Bank High School near Chattanooga, Tennessee.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Bullock has prior experience as an assistant coach at the college level, his last stop before Mount Dora being at Hartwick College, a Division III program in New York State.
Bullock is currently a science teacher at Mount Dora and this will be his first high school head coaching job.
