Maclay’s Jacob Wright selected to Football University’s TOP GUN camp

The following is a press release from FBU and Maclay School

(Tallahassee, FL). (July 16, 2014) – Jacob Wright of Maclay School (Class of 2015) from (Tallahassee, FL) has been invited and will be competing at the nation’s top prep football all-star camp, Football University’s TOP GUN, at the Dublin Jerome High School in Dublin, Ohio from Thursday, July 17 to Saturday, July 19. Being a part of TOP GUN means that these players are the best at their respective positions.

Jacob was invited to TOP GUN because of his outstanding performance as a QB at the FBU Orlando camp. He will join more than 800 of the nation’s other top athletes at their respective positions and will train with current and former NFL players and coaches.

TOP GUN is the culmination of Football University’s 30-camp nationwide tour gathering the most elite performers from across the United States and allowing them to compete and display their abilities together on one stage. Football University has an impressive alumni list that includes some of the top college football recruits and players in the nation. Headlining the TOP GUN Showcase were quarterbacks coach Jeff Rutledge, former quarterback coach of the Arizona Cardinals; wide receiver coach Billy “White Shoes” Johnson, offensive line coach Jim McNally, who is considered the best offensive line coach in the game; defensive back coach Ray Buchanan; and wide receiver coach Charlie Collins, who is considered one of the finest receiver coaches in the game.

WHO: More than 800 elite youth and high school football players from across the country; Approximately 100 current and former NFL players and coaches.

Football University’s TOP GUN has trained some of the nation’s top players and is designed to give elite youth and prep athletes top-flight instruction. Not only is there an all-star list of athletes, Top Gun also boasts an elite staff of some of football’s greatest minds who have privately trained and mentored players such as Drew Brees, Matt Ryan, Eli Manning, and Tony Romo.

Football University is created and produced by All American Games, the founders of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Football University will continue its national training experience for its elite athletes with its highly-anticipated 2015 season.
