Comment: The Tornadoes look like they are just the same team with just different players from last season after getting big road wins against Oscar Smith (VA) and Tucker (GA).

2. Miami Central

Comment: The Rockets might be 2-0, but have only won their two games by a margin of five points total. That is a bit too close for for comfort and things seem to be way different compared to last year’s squad.

3. Coral Gables

Comment: The Cavaliers are off to a hot start on the season after defeating Miami Southridge 10-7. District play will start next week for Coral Gables.

4. Columbus

Comment: The Explorers flexed their muscles big and got a huge win to start the season over the defending Class 8A state champion South Dade last Thursday. Another test awaits them this week against Belen Jesuit.

Comment: The Cougars are off to a nice start on the season after defeating Miami Carol City 20-16 on Saturday night. Cougars need to keep winning to maintain a top 5 status in Miami-Dade County

6. Miami Carol City

Comment: The Chiefs barely lost on Saturday night to now-No. 5 Miami Killian. The Chiefs showed they can be competitive, but will we see that turn into wins?

Comment: The Lions are off to a great start to the 2014 season, but will face a test this week as they travel to Class 3A Westminster Christian

Comment: Westminster Christian got off to a hot start on the season after going on the road and defeating Class 2A Harvest Community, 55-0. Now a tough test this week awaits with Champagnat.
